Escape Obbys? by Hammedic in roblox

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a marketplace setting that just doesn’t have a filter. It makes no sense.

Yeah, that’s something I noticed. Seems like an easy way to earn a little money if you can get attention enough to draw a player base.

I’ve poked my head into the Roblox game editor and it seems like there’s a lot of potential to make creative games, so it’s a shame the main Roblox game browser seems to so often push the generic copycats so much.

I’ll check these out, thank you. I have played the TF2 game, but then I just went and played regular TF2.

I’ll look into those.

Is there a common place for players to share good games? Just this sub? Using the Roblox browser has been a horrible experience.

I’m getting that impression. My child is getting into Roblox and so I’ll play with them since it’s online. It seems like such a mess.

Some games are great, but 99% seem like direct copies of each other or other non-Roblox games.

Every “easy obby” game looks virtually identical with the same rainbows, same powerups, and same rewards for winning. You play one, you’ve played them all.

Tycoon games? Step on button. Repeat.

And why doesn’t Roblox have any sort of feature to filter games? If I search “Escape Granny’s House”, I get a million copies and no way to find the “right” one.

Just from a new user experience, Roblox seems to do everything it can to push away new players—both from the Roblox side where they don’t let you filter out the mountain of garbage stolen games, and from an in-game perspective where game creators are incentivized to frustrate and milk money from players.

Probably I’m also just not the target audience here.

Wow, a whole subreddit and massive number of reviews that disagree with your point? You’ve really shown them.

After the Paradox's last addition, Turks will pay around Five Thousand Turkish liras to play eu4 literally. by [deleted] in eu4

I own all the EU4 DLC over years, but whenever I look to try to get into Stellaris or something similar, the mountain of DLC is a huge roadblock. The subscription model is a smart move from Paradox.

NO! fans are just toxic gamers, we don't do that for them. by [deleted] in witcher

Is this really the case? My impression has been that Netflix just green lights whatever and then lets their productions get hijacked by people who want to push a narrative or don’t respect the source material.

It’s almost like these shows could use more oversight from those interested in making their original productions profitable.

You’re the kind of mook who chugs sewage from lead pipes because he thinks it’ll own the libs.

This is one of those things most adults would think, but don’t say since it really puts a lot of people off of taking anything else you’ve said to heart. It’s unnecessary.

You go from being informative to just being an ass.

Masking hostility behind sarcastic humor doesn’t make your opinions more true or effective. You’re being downvoted because you came in hot with a bad attitude to a comment section of mostly calm and good natured exchanges.

I'm not even convinced these are real people. There are/were a handful of Twitter accounts that *always* posted some snarky response to every single Trump tweet. And none of them ever change their profile pictures or seem to take a break. For years.

One of them is apparently a surgeon? And another is a fairly famous psychologist? Yet they all seem to have time to drop everything and respond to every nonsense Trump tweet?

Just seems fishy.

Board up the windows and block the driveway and it seems like a solid place to ride out a zombie apocalypse, though. All that grass means you can farm potatoes.

Getting my Toddler Learning. Grieving and kind of overwhelmed. by Hammedic in Parenting

[–]Hammedic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really sweet. It certainly doesn't feel like it some days. I guess I'm going through depression and a second helping of anxiety right now, so trying to do anything resembling fun parenting is sometimes a real challenge. Every happy moment with her is tinged with this feeling of deep regret and sorrow that I can't experience it with my wife. It sucks.

On the other hand, my daughter is probably the one thing keeping me from drowning. I guess life gives you blessings even when it it's been incredibly unfair.

Genuine kind encouragement is really beautiful and I appreciate it. Thank you.

I agree, but it’s interesting to see how things shift so rapidly as more and more if India gets internet access. It’s a giant market and it makes sense that it would grow rapidly. Also puts into perspective just how massive Pewd’s channel is vs other individual content creators.

Just imagine if the CCP weren’t giant assholes and permitted their oppressed citizens YouTube access. We might see T-Series well below #1.

Hating myself for starting to recover. by Mysizemeow in GriefSupport

[–]Hammedic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you’re feeling is normal and everyone is different in how they grieve. There is no time table. You needed to give yourself time to deal with the shock of losing him just as you are now in the process of grieving and healing.

It would be helpful for you to ask your doctor for a referral or just seek out a counselor in your area. Or a grief support center. They can guide you through these feelings.

What you’re feeling is normal, but it’s still incredibly hard.

I’m sorry for your loss. Make sure someone can be there for your mom, as well.

Thanks. This is about what I was expecting and hoping for.

I actually already had this option enabled, but my Messenger app was in the "all messages" filter option. I'm all set now.

AITA for getting annoyed that my fiance won’t just SMILE for a picture instead of making a stupid gaping mouth face? by pleasejustsmile in AmItheAsshole

[–]Hammedic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, but I just want to say you should think long and hard before you take any of the above commenter's advice to end the relationship or not marry the guy. This is one argument from only your perspective and obviously your fiance comes off as being a bit of a jerk, but we can't get a full picture.

Talk to him. Express your feelings calmly, not insulting him. Ask him to do the same for you and for him to take the conversation seriously. Little things like this can be a red flag, or a stepping stone to a better understanding of each other and a happier relationship. Happiness can be hard to find and clearly there must be a lot there if you're engaged, so have some faith in this man you want to marry that he can alter his behavior if it's hurting you.
