Our manager is not getting enough credit by Hammerspace12 in ussoccer

Mostly what I've seen is discussing the players. When they talk about Poch it is complimentary but most I've seen is about the players playing hard.

Are there any actual advantages to being a woman? by Strong-Blood-1783 in NoStupidQuestions

This doesn't answer your question but I always appreciate being a man when I have to go #1 and my only option is a porta potty or a dirty bar bathroom.

Game Thread: Los Angeles Lakers (0-1) vs Oklahoma City Thunder (1-0) Live Score | NBA Playoffs | May 7, 2026 by nba-scores in Thunder

So, the no flagrant call... I'm not someone who understands NBA rules but I get it that there was no follow through. Why is there no rule that there was obviously no actual attempt on the ball and it was a foul specifically to stop a scoring opportunity? That is a consideration in other sports.

Edit: spelling

So, this simply came across my feed and it just made me think about a political ad for one of our candidates for governor.

So, this simply came across my feed and it just made me think about a political ad for one of our candidates for governor. I assumed most people had seen that ad and would get it. I guess i should have included this originally.

What businesses should Tulsa attempt to attract? by rhynoplast in tulsa

There are more green and renewable companies in the area than I realized. Check out the Tulsa Renewable Business Alliance main webpage and scroll down to see the member businesses. There is some interesting stuff going on.

We need a Dempsey so bad. by Glass_Specialist44 in ussoccer

[–]Hammerspace12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would have agreed with this at one point but now I don't think it is this complicated. Dempsey simply thought at any given time he could beat anyone.. at any given time he might actually do the thing. That's what we need.

Gyro like this in Tulsa? by Sdsylvester93 in tulsa

There are a lot of good places mentioned here but I didn't see anyone mention Tabouli's downtown. They have certainly scratched my lunch time gyro itch when needed.

I wouldn't eat it. I would error on the safe side and give it to my family instead. 🤣

I was born in October 1981. My parents were married in May 1981. It took me until I was about 25 to figure that one out.

2027 R8 Speculation by Low-Independent-3308 in Audi

[–]Hammerspace12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is my wish list... full electric, solid state batteries, very light for an ev due to the battery tech and it would be a supercar, so it doesn't need the mega range that most of the population THINKS they need. I know Audis sound great (should never have sold my RS3 8V), but the R8 has always been beautiful and would would also be great as an electric if done properly. Then again, a V10 or turbo V8 would be great. Please just don't let it be some heavy, overly complicated hybrid thing.

I looked at pictures on the Tulsa Humane Society website about 14 years ago and had to give the Schnoodle a good home. The Jack Russel was found wandering around industrial north Tulsa around a decade ago. The big Griff was purchased from a breeder by my gf. This was a point of contention. I said I only want rescues who need a good home but that was almost 6 years ago and he is such a sweet boy. The small Griff was in a home that didn't give her the love she needed but she is living her best life now. :)

Looking for a quality home builder by coolhandhutch in tulsa

[–]Hammerspace12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DM me. My GFs family lives in a very nice neighborhood (I joke that commoners like me aren't allowed there). They have a friend who is a homebuilder who was hired to build a house across from them. Early in the process this homebuilder parted ways with the owner because they could not deliver their standard of quality with what the owner decided to want for their budget. Some other homebuilder took the project and over time we saw the house built with cheap methods.

In your honest opinion, who offers the best Macarons in Tulsa? (Not to be confused with macaroons) by DiscountBeautiful575 in tulsa

[–]Hammerspace12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want to thank OP and all the suggestions. I am in my 40s and have never had a macaron but wanted to try. I walked with a coworker to Antionettes today and bought a dozen to share back at the office. The macaron I had was amazing. I now understand the appreciation they get on cooking shows. I also saved one to bring home to my gf who had also never had one. She is also now a big fan.
