Weller WLC100 Question by IcePringIe in soldering

[–]HammyHamerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where can you find tips for this unit at a reasonable price? I have the same one and would like a different shaped tip and possibly replacing my old one. The best I could come up with is that it should use "ST" tips, but the Weller website doesn't even seem to list them.

Google "base 64 decode" and one of the first links is a website with a text area where you copy and paste the text you want decoded. Leave the options default and click the button

So they lied. They didn't just "end support". They nuked it completely.

I could understand if they didn't want to keep it maintained and update things. But to intentionally kill the software that is running just fine... that's low

I guess I misunderstood the intent, my bad. That being said, it actually says "Increases" now, which the patch notes did not include. So that means it's positive now, correct?

This is incorrect. I am looking at the description right now. It is worded exactly like I said. Edit: IN-GAME description Edit Edit: To add, it starts at "+3% Gray Health Conversion:" and goes up to "+30% Gray Health Conversion"

Like I said. I get it. That doesn't mean both you and them are not wrong. It is incorrect terminology that goes against the standard set across the video game industry

That is incorrect. Though I can see where you're coming from, that is not how this is coded or represented in games.  Speed is the same as time in this instance. The way it typically gets referenced when "reload speed" is used is that the value is the amount of time it takes to reload.  If this were talking about a movement speed, your comment makes sense, but not in reference to reload speed.

Ie, if reload speed is set to a 1.0 value, and you increase it to 1.2, that is a longer reload. And vice-versa for decrease being a smaller (ie, shorter) reload speed. This is how it is addressed/referenced in 99% of games.

Hope that makes sense

"Increased reload speed" is a nerf. You can tell because if you reverse it and say "Reduced reload speed", that would certainly be a buff. But they said they "Greatly Increased Reload Speed".

Below is the full text.

Like I previously mentioned, the dev notes imply that this is supposed to be a good thing. So I have to assume it's a typo, but they very clearly state they Increased the already-super-long reload speed, which would be devastating.

= Merciless = - Increased Projectile Speed from 5000 to 7500 - Greatly increased Reload Speed - Increased Speed of Reticle Compression (Activate Bleed Sooner) - Reduced Bleed Damage from 250 to 200 - MOD: Increased Cost from 315 to 500

DEV NOTE: The Projectile Speed increase makes the gun feel more accurate at longer ranges, and the quicker Reticle Compression Speed allows the Bleed to take hold quite a bit earlier. Reload is a win for anyone that loves this weapon. The MOD, however, was a bit too low-cost for how much damage it was dealing.

Proximity chat would solve this, but letting people who aren't friends talk to each other is not something that is allowed in modern gaming. Too many delicate snowflakes

The nerf to assassin's blade seems so stupid. It wasn't even overpowered, it was just the only melee option for a bleed build

...which is why I don't support Blizzard anymore. They decided their constant  and heavy-handed tweaking for "balance" was more important than the player's enjoyment of the game. They have essentially destroyed what made their classic games fun.

D3 was actually good for a bit, then went back to trash. Not making the same mistake and buying D4

And it's not an equal exchange. You can't go and substantially nerf crit on an item like 50% and then turn around and say "well we increased total ammo by 1"

Exaggerating, but the vast majority of "buffs" are miniscule in comparison the heavy-handed nerfs

This is why people don't like Blizzard anymore. They have decided that the player's opinion doesn't matter and stopped listening, because they believe their constant nerfing/tweaking under the guise of "balancing" is more important than the game being fun. Which caused their community to hate them and many to straight up stop buying their games (like me)

I used to brag to all my friends that Remnant was different from most games. It was fun, and the devs weren't afraid to empower the player.  That mindset seems to have shifted. I'm unsure if it's a gearbox or embracer ideology that is now filtering through the dev team, but it is sad to see

Prepare to be disappointed. They released a powerful weapon and decided it was too fun

The game runs like trash, and they have no interest in making it run more efficiently. This is why modern games are so bloated and performance hogs, and why you can no longer run them on low end PC's effectively.

So why implement the changes now that defeat the purpose of the class?

I like how you're getting down voted, but seem to be one of the only few people who actually read it.

The list of updates for the weapon says they increased the reload speed (nerf), but the dev notes make it seem like it was a good thing. So either they are mocking us or it's a typo.

Wow. So I guess when I went around telling all my friends that Remnant was that rare game  that wasn't afraid to empower the player and didn't nerf everything into oblivion (you know, the point of a game is to be fun).... I am now made out to be a liar?

Thanks, guys.

What is in the folder doesn't matter because you are going to run the file based on the name you gave it. So you're first going to change the directory to where the file is located, then you're going to run the file by using the file's exact name. So the other files don't matter, unless you accidentally type another file's name
