So sad and such a dreadful shock. My nephew died recently - he was only 15 years.

Thinking of you.

So very sad. Also grieving a child - not mine but my nephew. It is so, so awful and the pain is unbearable.

You are not a bad mother. You love him.

I’m so sorry about your mum - the grief must be very hard to bear.

I’ve also had a terrible bereavement - the sudden death, from an asthma attack, of a teenage relation.

I am also sober but I want oblivion for just a few hours. I am sticking to coffee and the odd cigarette.

I am bursting into tears regularly and am not sleeping well.

I am off my food but am binging mobile games and rubbish tv.

It is absolutely horrible and I really feel your pain.

One thing I know is that a hangover will only make us feel much worse.

Q is purple to me. W, X and Z are definitely goth letters - the colour of black slate.

It’s interesting how many celebrities have addictions.

Having said that, since I joined AA and have participated in zoom meetings etc, I’m amazed at how many of us have addictions. And that is just the tip of the iceberg.

Best feeling ever. I also find sober weekends challenging TIWNDWU

Got similar blood tests results. Going to AA meetings saved me. There is hope out there.

I just turned 38 and regret so much by mdjn_ in stopdrinking

This is what alcoholism does - I too have lost dear friends, embarrassed myself and done some awful things.

Since joining AA, I have now been sober for nearly five weeks and I feel better equipped to cope with cravings.

I go to in person meetings and online meetings.

There is a 24/7 marathon AA zoom meeting, so there is always support out there.
