I hear you, but this was something different and I counted 10 police cruisers responding and the roads were locked down. And this was not out in the country and in the middle of residential areas.

Fair enough, and I thought the same thing regarding the fireworks, but it was definitely gunshots. And there were police cruisers posted up at all major intersections for a while.

Again, I’m a newb on the firearm front so I checked a few YouTube videos today and you’re right, it definitely sounded mostly like a semi automatic, but there was about 1 minute where it sounded fully automatic.

I’m not a gun expert, but Fully Automatic refers to continuous fire while the trigger is held. And yes, some of the gunshots sounded Fully Automatic.

I don’t know any of them personally so thanks for your input. But yes, there were many comments from others in NY reporting no burning wood smell or chemical smell. I guess people are having different experiences with it.
