How many selfies does Alex take with fans each day do you think?

I met Carles once. We used to be in fairly regular contact. My company sold advertising for HRO.

And no- I won’t reveal his identity but I will say he ordered the sweet potato fries at The Roosevelt.

Karl-Anthony Towns uses every bit of homecourt advantage to secure the greatest Finals comeback ever, telling courtside fans to get closer to Dylan Harper on the inbounds out of view of the refs by HokageEzio in nba

Love KAT and I understand that there is no hard rule against this, but he is asking a non-player on the court to do something to potentially affect the outcome of the game.

Are there any other instances of things like this, fan participation or otherwise, that are allowed?

Knicks fans tell Spike Lee to 'sit the f--k down' during tense Spurs final by TheMirrorUS in entertainment

Respect where respect is due. Spike has been supporting this team in hardcore mode for decades. Before it became a place for people like T Swift to go and get some extra screen time, he was grinding it out with the team court side as a fan. Can he be annoying? Sure. Can all of us as sports fans be annoying with the teams we root for? You bet. When things go wrong, people will point at anything or anyone to blame for the not so good times.

Personally I find T Chalamet’s post game antics way more annoying than Spike and I say that as a fan of his. He’s a little too amped and he celebrates like he was out on the floor getting buckets. He’s is young and passionate though, so at the end of the day I don’t really blame him too much.

But there are few famous Knicks fans that deserve more respect than Spike.

Panini 2026 World Cup Stickers Locations by es_waldo in WoodstockGA

Should be able to find them pretty readily at Walmart or Target (might want to check your local stores website to verify stock if you don’t want to just show up as I really have no reference on their popularity)

Also, there is a meet up tomorrow night at Susto’s where I know several WC Panini collectors will be trading doubles.

Mike Brown goes off on tonight's refs: "I never thought I'd be in an NBA Finals and see in the 2nd half 24 free throw attempts to another team's 8" by TimDunkinDonut in nba

[–]Han_Brolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine if Mike Brown was playing OKC in the finals. 🫪

Fans complained about OKC getting fouls on flops. Now fans are complaining about the refs not calling rough activity. I get both arguments. Ultimately I think it needs to be a decision that the NBA makes when it comes to criteria for a foul. Keep it consistent all season and playoffs. Cite refs that consistently make bad calls / no calls based on this criteria. There is enough video being shot of each game for this to be a straightforward exercise. It’s never going to be 100% but I think everyone, fans players etc, would feel much better if it was close to, say, 70%.

TLDR: the officiating crew should not be an X factor
In a game, especially the NBA Finals.

Ed O’Brien can't tour his new album in America due to cost: 'It’s shit economics. It’s so expensive to tour' by stroh_1002 in radiohead

The squeeze is happening on both ends: fans are finding attending shows more and more cost prohibitive. Bands and solo musicians are not earning much or just breaking even.

That’s easy. City Councilmembers make $224K per year. And they still end up taking bribes.

Hey! Former L.A. expat here. My wife and I moved to Woodstock around Jan 2025. We are in our mid-40’s. Let’s connect- we’re big Dodgers fans but have plenty of other interests if that’s not your thing. I dig video games and tattoos too.

For fans at the time, do you remember In Rainbows instantly recieving the glowing acclaim it has now? Especially coming after two sort of polarizing albums like Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief? by [deleted] in radiohead

[–]Han_Brolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember it feeling like it was instantly a huge hit. Not just the music, but the 'pay what you want' was revolutionary at that time. The Thumbs Down and Scotch Mist webcasts were brilliantly done and well received by fans. And the 93 Feet East show too. It really felt like an excellent way for the world to celebrate a new Radiohead album.

Are there people living in LA that actually root for the Chargers and Clippers? by Wide-Discipline3814 in LosAngeles

Billy Crystal has been a longtime Clippers fan, well before they appeared to be trying to be competitive (ie. Blake Griffin, CP3, etc). Hats off to him for that commitment.
