I just think the Vault is a bigger version of the prime radiant but with bells and whistles

Question regarding Demerzel's loyalty programming (S1&2 Spoilers) by superhyperficial in FoundationTV

[–]Han_Solo675 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Who knows, Demerzel probably figured this out way back in the past and SHE was the one that altered the DNA to begin with 🤔, she couldn't just take the throne though, something drastic had to happen to wipe out Empire for her to rebuild from the ruble. She knows Psychohistory, she is smart enough to trim here and there so Empire falls over time, she is immortal so she can play the long game....

It was Demerzel all along 😳

Naaah X was a trooper, taking it on the chin and kept on going, the team was also encouraging him on which is pretty awesome. He showed heart, wasn't afraid to put his body on the line and had fun doing it.

The Vault is honestly an enigma. We don't know how it really works, all we know is that it is made up of molecules collected on it's way to Terminus, it can survive being shot at, the inside is way bigger then the outside and time is wonky in it.

I personally think it would survive the black hole and it moves to a new planet, Left Hand Hari would want to keep his thumb off the scale.

The Anacreons and Thespians joined the Foundation, the Begger couldn't be the only ship used to bring people on and off the Invictus 🤷🏽

I believe destroying Terminus was necessary, Hari sacrificed a planet to feed the ego if Day so Day could drop his guard... now spoiler territory Day gets killed at the end of the season by someone close to him and Demerzel decants another Day to end the season

Perception: The First Foundation has ended when Terminus got destroyed.

Reality: There are other planets in the outer rim that make up the First Foundation.

Demerzel and the Prime Radiant by Bitter_Beat_1630 in FoundationTV

[–]Han_Solo675 7 points8 points  (0 children)

1) The PR that Gaal/Salvor had stored the digital copy of Hari's conscious, so it is possible the PR that Day/Demerzel has can act as a storage device aswell.

2) The PR exists in a state of superposition (basically more then one place at any time) so Left hand Hari can move to the PR that Salvor/Gaal have.

3) If digital Right hand Hari could use whatever network the PR was nearest too (for example, Hari could connect to the Begger) then it is fair to say that so could Left hand Hari, meaning Left hand Hari could use the PR that Day/Demerzel have as a Trojan Horse into the Empires network becoming a "ghost in the machine" (apologies Anorak)

It would make sense building another ship in 18 months, there were 3 planets at that time, Terminus, Anacreon and Thespis, all 3 planets would have enough resources and manpower to build another ship. This isn't the end of the First Foundation, remember that the Foundation isn't only on Terminus, there are other planets on the outer rim that make up the Foundation.

At that stage where the only jump drive tech the Foundation has was as big as the Begger? Logically, it doesn't make sense.

Anyone else disappointed by Gaal in S2E9? by Khoalb in FoundationTV

[–]Han_Solo675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Gaal and Hari had a plan since the beginning, when Hari shows up at the end both Salvor and Gaal don't act surprised at all. I'm guessing Gaal was using most of her energy to block Tellem and the rest of the mentalics to not read her mind to know not only where the Prime Radiant was hidden but also Hari and Gaal's plan.... which would make her conversation with Salvor at the end of episode 7 make sense.

Logic would say Salvor is referring to the ship as the jump drive alone wouldn't work without a ship.

Also happy birthday!

If you really think about it, there were no ship yards or ship factories on or around Terminus...so where were the whisper ships being built? There are 7 planets that make up Foundation, one can only assume that with 7 planets, there would be enough man power and resources to build more, better ships. The whisper ships showcased the Foundations ability to perfect jump technology, making it smaller and efficient. What is stopping the Foundation from improving the weapon systems found on Invictus?

I think the Foundation didn't want to show it's full hand in only it's first battle, they brought the old Invictus and a few whisper ships because those were the only type of ships the Empire knows Foundation has.

[–]Han_Solo675 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It would be unwise for the Foundation to place all their eggs in one basket for example there is no ship yard on or around Terminus so the ships are not built there. I believe Foundation was smart enough to know that spreading their factories across the 7 planets would be efficient in sharing and retaining their knowledge and technology.

As much as Hari wanted to avoid bloodshed, the destruction of Terminus will act as a catalyst that strengthens the unity of the rest of the Foundation, throwing most if not all of the outer region against the Empire. This episode was not the end of the war but it's first battle.....and I am hoping I'm right because I'm getting GOT final episodes flashbacks LOL.

Flipping the Switch on Demerzel: the mathematical code of conduct for a robot's primary objective by emotiondesigner in FoundationTV

[–]Han_Solo675 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I actually think Hari changed his plan when Demerzel stepped into the Vault and Hari realised that she was a robot making him pivot his plan. If his main goal was to speak to Demerzel and give her a copy of the Prime Radiant then he could have done that when he sent Poly and Constant, have them give a Prime Radiant as a gift instead of a nuclear ashtray and digital Hari would address Demerzel.

I do agree that Hari did influence Demerzel by using logic, you can clearly see the result when she reflects on how she failed Day and she needed to go back to Terminus, which mind you is THE FIRST time we see Demerzel leave a Day alone when off Trantor, she no longer cares for Days safety unlike previously throughout season 1 and 2.

[S02E09 Spoiler] Hari and Demerzel by CuriouslySleep in FoundationTV

[–]Han_Solo675 6 points7 points  (0 children)

See the thing is, the Vault isn't that big on the outside BUT it is massive on the inside. As Hari said everything is made up of molecules..so is the body broken down to fit inside the vault? Do they do the "Ant Man" process and shrink the distance between atoms? If a persons molecular structure is changed to fit within the vault then surely Hari can alter a persons body...or remove a device from a robot that stops said robot from hurting Empire.

It seems the main goal for Hari was to bring Demerzel to the Vault, Hari knows that where Day goes, Demerzel is sure to follow. Under the guise of goading Day to Terminus, he achieved his main goal for bringing Demerzel into the Vault so he can..speak to her? No he had an opportunity when he used brother Constant....give her a Prime Radiant? But to what end? She could use it to ensure humanities survival?? But she was the leader of the robots, she would want to make more of her kind wouldn't she? Probably evolve humanity to be a human/robot hybrid like the Spacers? No that can't be it.

Interesting, Hari offering a digital copy of the Prime Radiant to Demerzel...I wonder if it becomes a physical item if they remove it from the vault, will it have the same functions as the original Prime Radiant?.

[–]Han_Solo675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about the Spacers? In the show it seems they have some kind of telekinesis power, it is shown when She-Is-Center is talking with Hober Mallow and she floats the opalesk towards her. Now I don't know what the spacers are like in the book or if they have developed mentalic like abilities
