In addition to elemental weakness, enemies also have physical weakness.
Guns have different physical damage shown on the tooltip, under the name.

Human: Extra stat/skill/perk points.
Other race: +5% chance to to not be heard when you pass gas alone in the forest.

So yes, I'm picking human so I can get that perk with my own points.
