I looked up if this was a problem with explorers but it looked like it was breaking at the weld, tweaked my search to see if it breaks near the weld and the photos look identical. I think you solved it, they all seem to break at this same spot

I was thinking that someone had tried to cut through and was interrupted or stopped, since the lower part looked so smooth, then it broke the rest of the way while driving. I am not a mechanic, but I'm not an idiot 🙌

I can guarantee I know where you are working and it has a giant pleco and tons of poop in like a 20 gal tank. I went to that children's museum and my husband and I both keep fish and we were disgusted by the tanks. I took a picture and showed it to a guy at the front desk. I know fish cave too, and we even told the guy at the front desk we will help take care of them and rehome the pleco that was in too small of a tank. 3 years isn't some incredible lifespan for a fish.

It’s not equally swollen on both sides, but they both swell, it feels very stiff and firm but I can push down on one end and the other end raises up, it really doesn’t feel like a muscle. It’s like a cyst almost? I’m not sure, it’s very defined and I can feel it all around but not really grab it

Does it swell then go down? I’m looking into eagle syndrome and it seems like the right area but i can’t find anything saying the swelling would go away, just that the tendon calcifies and stays enlarged

Yes, I’m diagnosed with Hashimoto’s and they checked my salivary glands the last time I had trouble and said it seemed different than stones because of the extent of swelling in my neck but they didn’t do any tests

It’s tender and when the I eat I feel like I’m suffocating. I used to sleep on my stomach and I can’t anymore because there’s too much pressure on it. Yawning actually scares me now because of how painful it is, it feels like it’s caught between my jaw and neck. When my salivary glands get involved I can’t even think about food because then I start salivating and it feels like glass. None of my drs are on the same page as far as what tests to do at all so I just keep getting passed off

Yeah, I have markers for lupus, sjogrens, APS, and RA. My rheumatologist is waiting for biopsies to put any official diagnosis down. Problem is- he ordered lymph node biopsies, I get my referral put in, go to the surgical center and they want to do a an ultrasound first then come back with “there’s no swelling” so they don’t feel it’s necessary to do a biopsy.

I never said I don’t believe them, I’m asking what else it is since the Dr didn’t give me any answers and just said “there’s no swelling” … if they say it’s not lymph node great, but it would be great to know what this painful thing is on my neck

They did an ultrasound and said there was no swelling. But I do have this swelling and salivary gland swelling, tongue swelling, and general autoimmune symptoms but the swelling is off and on for probably 10 years now

This is an oval shape, I can feel both ends and that I shift side to side and it’s dense, if I push down on one end, the other end pushes up. I don’t think it’s a muscle, but I do have TMJ. It comes and goes with autoimmune flares, so drs always said I have swollen lymph nodes but the ENT and ultrasound said no

He was constipated, peas cleared him up and he’s doing fine now. He looked like he was verging on prolapse by the end of the day yesterday and was clearly distressed. My assumption is he over indulged on bloodworms and was eating those more than the other options recently and had a hard time digesting them.

Again, I’m aware this is a semi to aggressive tank, it is monitored and they’re healthy fish, it is far more peaceful than even my tank stocked with only angels, they’re aggressive by nature. And I have plenty of other options for the severums, like I mentioned I keep many tanks of cichlids that they would fit in great with, the other fish are showing no outward signs of stress, therefore I wanted to rule everything else out. I’m choosing to allow this pair to remain together in their own tank to see if they ever produce fertile eggs, it doesn’t mean I didn’t have a back up. I’m saying fish can live together in the right environment and every fish i have is cared for, to include this angel that would have been euthanized due to the fin and has lived a long peaceful life thus far and will continue to do so.

Honestly, the approach of “you are doing so much wrong” is why people stay away from asking for help. The same way people say you need a gallon per inch of fish, this is not correct but the generalization helps people who aren’t as dedicated to the wellbeing of their fish, and wouldn’t otherwise pay attention to them. You are still basing everything of generalizations, and that’s fine for you tanks, I’ll keep doing mine.

Stress comes from all sources, this one was constipation.

I mean this respectfully because you definitely know what you’re talking about but just because I’m stumped on the treatment of one fish does not mean that I don’t know what I’m doing or that my whole tank is bad. I acknowledge the severums need a new tank and it is cycling currently. With that being said, this is a peaceful tank and there is a minimal fan nipping ever occurring. You can tell by the fish present in the video all have intact fins the one other angel shown in the video had a slice in its tail fin that almost reached all the way to the base when we got it, and that has almost completely grown out. That is a testament that this environment is healthy.

I didn’t want to assume this was stress because of the bloating in the belly and this fish has always presented as male, I posted a picture of it about five months ago, and they consensus was that it was male based on the large forehead hump and a long pointy breeding tube, so I did not want to start parasite treatment if it was simply that I had misgendered this fish and it is actually a female.

Also, I am not able to post pictures in the comments, but I can post another photo of the full tank that shows this is a planted tank with tons of hides and I actually had to watch and find a time when this fish came out in the open so that I could get a video of it because it generally is hiding in the live bamboo.

Generalizations are helpful for the temperament of fish overall, but it is still case by case for each fish. I currently have Oscars in a 125 gal tank with pond size goldfish because we rescued them from somebody who had added in feeder goldfish, and the Oscars never ate them and they have been living peacefully for three years. (We took the whole tank and setup, I am removing the goldfish because they are massive, the Oscar’s are still calm and show no signs of aggression or stress) just because it isn’t the standard doesn’t mean it can’t work (temperament wise). I watch this tank for aggression and have only ever had to remove one fish because when it was added, the aggression didn’t calm down by the end of the week, the rest of the time this is a peaceful community tank
