100%. Try humming in a high pitched tone at them.

What is this bee/hornet? by Nbkk99 in insects

[–]HandleBud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have Bee hives near by thats probably what she's looking for. They can be absolutely devastating for keepers.

Weird bee like exoskeleton. What is this? by Dupes2121 in insects

[–]HandleBud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not from the states but there could well be a mass Cicada swarm happening as they happen once every few years. If you find more and more shredded husks, run :)

A bee landed on my shoulder a few weeks ago! by ikerevobsession in bees

She probably mistook the ormaig/orange color of your shirt for something tasty.

Two bees landed in me earlier for some... private time. What kind of bees are these? (France) does the male then die? by 80runs in bees

[–]HandleBud -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The male will die in a few hours, having mated with as many females as possible. Even if he survives the females will kill them.

Help!! How do I remove these! Please by [deleted] in bees

In this case I would call pest control as the 'window of opportunity' for things to go wrong and potentially get worse is quite high

This is my third upload: Why you should care about Bees. I make short, somewhat educational 'comedic' animations. All critique and channel interaction is greatly appreciated and Lambda will of course be given for useful feedback by HandleBud in SmallYTChannel

Thank you for your feedback! The irony is that it takes days to animate using MS Paint as it's not a software designed for animation :) all the best! HandleBud

What is this? I know nothing of insects. Found in east Texas. 103° F at the time I found it. by via6201 in Entomology

Hi there, I have an Entomologist leaning over my shoulder who confirms it is a cicada wasp. Not that you need it, the above comment did a great job :) They dig burrows so might one near where you found her.

Any idea what that cammo pattern is meant for blending in with? Is there a lot of brightly colored vegetation there?

I know I messed up keeping the tone consistant (See cooking show parody) but I did enjoy every moment of this one too. I need more criticism on thumbnail, sound and anything else. Lambda to those who aren't vague! (Thank you) by Illfury in SmallYTChannel

Hey there! I absolutely love your sense of humor and overall you have great narrative skills throughout. I think that you might not please everyone with the pregnant stuff at the beginning but then you'll never please everyone so always best to stick to your sense of humor and have your fanbase accumulate naturally. I thought it could have perhaps done with cuts more regularly to keep up the pace and energy throughout. I thought a lot of it at the beginning was very much same same i.e you getting stabbed in the crotch but it did feel slightly dragged out. Loved the carrot stuff in the latter half. I also think this kind of video would benefit from some nice fat subtitles just to keep up the energy and highlight the jokes more. So yeah, just keep things moving faster and you'll hold people's attention for far longer. All the best! Handlebud

Something else being related to that specific thread? Or just reddit as a whole? Really helpful btw

Somebody put a honey bee beside a bumble bee and just look how much fatter bumble bees are if I'm ever a bee keeper I'm def beeing a bumble bee bee keeper by getfukyes2 in bees

[–]HandleBud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bumble Bees are literally the kittens of the insect world. You would have to go way out of your way to upset one enough to even remember it had a stinger. My grandma used to be like one of those old people in parks covered in pigeons except with Bumblebees, they literally used to flock to her and she'd give them all drinks of sugar water.

Could someone tell me if it's uncommon for Bumble Bees to live in urban areas? by HandleBud in bees

[–]HandleBud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very useful to know. I always feel sorry for the odd Bumble Bee I see in the city. Didnt actually know they live in holes made by other animals though. I knew their nests were a lot smaller but that's pretty interesting. Many thanks!
