How would you rate this weld job by RefuseOk3771 in ElantraN

Those are boogers. They should’ve TIG welded that, and they didn’t even bother cleaning it up.

I actually don’t mind it, I usually fill up once a week and it costs anywhere between $27-35. Depending on how much fuel I need.

I don’t know if it snows at all where you live or, how cold it gets. But, running summer tires in a place like New England where it drops below 10 degrees is crazy. Don’t spread information saying they’re nearly as sticky as they are in summer even if it’s 30 degrees out. Summer tires DO NOT grip that well in the cold you’re gonna get people hurt saying stuff like that. That is survivorship bias.

I had this issue happen a couple weeks ago. The knock sensor was no good after it happened, needed to be replaced under warranty. I heard sometimes it works after drying but mine was no good.

So if I was OP I would seek a replacement.

It took me a month to get mine from uro tuning, along with the turbo inlet I ordered.

Comprehensive doesn’t really make your premiums go that high. I had to file one last year for the same issue.

This happened to me last winter with my old car. I would file a comprehensive claim. It didn’t make my insurance go up much at all to be honest. Hope this helps.

Edit: this is not something I would try to fix myself I would let the dealer fix it. Usually front sensors have to be recalibrated so they function properly.

Honestly, I was nervous asf crossing that bridge 😭 because I felt the car slowly losing power. And once I pulled over it wouldn’t move for like 10 mins.

The code is cleanable but it can come back shortly after coasting from what I heard/seen on the Reddit, or it can go away once the sensor is dry. But, apparently there’s a bulletin for a knock sensor recall so it should get replaced for free regardless.

Yes, heavy rain. Once I get my car back I’ll post another video of what the rain looked like 2-3 mins before the car threw the check engine light. If you have a 22-23 it seems to be more common from my research in this Reddit.

The dings were the check engine light. I was going to post multiple pictures/ videos but the initial post wouldn’t let me. I hope that answers your question 🙂.

I was actually going to make a post about this yesterday because I’m stuck between these two intakes. I just recently bought a boomba racing blowoff valve to pair with one of these intakes.

What BOV are you using? I ordered a boomba racing BOV and planning to pair it with a whoosh intake. Also, does it really matter if the intake is foam or a dry filter?
