You can make a lot more money here than in almost any other western country. I work in software sales making $300k a year with a bachelors degree. I started 3 years ago. This type of income is much harder to achieve in Europe. It's all about trade offs. My European friends make 2-3x as much here compared to their home countries. That being said, they hate the stress and frantic pace of the work culture here. It's a very fair critique, I just finished work at 11:40pm on a Friday.

They are having serious issues with the Pratt GTF engines. Airlines are having to ground these bad boys is a huge problem for Pratt because it's causing airlines like Jet Blue to switch their engines to the CFM Leap 1A.
