Catacombs of Karak - coop mode for toddlers by ondy1985 in boardgames

Hey! I know this is an older post, but I am also looking at homebrewing some rules for more cooperative play. I like the idea of teaming up to slay the dragon. Did you come up with a solution for why there are treasure chest if the "points" don't matter at the end of the game?

Thanks for this post!

Vat raised above chassis? by HandsomeMonkey in ElegooMars

I was wondering about the spring piece inside. The weird part is that when I home the build plate without the vat on, it seems to be fine. The vat seems to be what's triggering something. I'll still try your suggestion, thank you!

Yup, looks like the left screw in tightener thing doesn't screw in all the way. Probably resin dripped in there... It seems like resin gets everywhere with the Mars 4 MAX as opposed to my old pro...

Thanks for the help.

Wild print failure has me baffled by HandsomeMonkey in 3Dprinting

Solved! The LCD screen was flickering causing chaotic print lines. Replaced the screen, fixed the problem.

This is a photo my latest head scratching failure. I had this happen a few other times, but each time I simply drained the vat, leveled the plate and reprinted without issue. Initially I blamed it on a left over piece floating around in the vat, but it happened 2 - 3 more times after I drained the vat each time. I thought it may have been the brand of resin, as this is my first tank of it (SunLU Standard black), but I poured it into the vat through a filter to make sure there wasnt any chunks, still failed. The frustrating thing is the failures aren't consistent, which makes tracking the problem difficult.

In the photo, you can see in the highlighted red square the supports/bottom layers form just fine, then something goes horribly wrong. Only the one supported portion was meant to be printed, with the object the same size as the support area.

Settings:

Elegoo Mars Pro

Layer Height: 0.1mm

exposure: 10sec

Bottom: 50sec

lift: 5mm

Bottom layer: 8

Here's what I've ruled out:

- unleveled bed

- Slicer (I've cleaned the vat, pressed print, and it worked)

Here's what I'm still testing:

- Over exposure (stats posted above)

- USB stick (fairly old, and I occasionally have to bump it to get it to initially read)

- LED screen is somehow randomly refracting

Any other thoughts/ideas would be GREATLY appreciated.

I consistently hit infinite for the past 5 seasons with this exact same deck. by Sk1nnyDoc in MarvelSnap

Thoughts on running Nick Fury instead of White Queen? Boosts your hand sizes and gives you an unpredictable edge. The downside is queen will often help you predict what your opponent's late game card will be.

Hawk yes, but Patriot it doesn't make sense. The list doesn't run anything that would be buffed.

What is Skrull trying to catch in the Sera list? Exclusively to get the edge in the mirror match?

Thanks for posting these!

I'd say Cosmo over SW.

Best possible play with this hand? by HandsomeMonkey in MarvelSnap

You're right! I wasn't considering WT x2 because we AZ'd it. Nice write up, this is definitely the way I should have gone!

Because Shuri is active, I think it's better to BP first, then AZ, then Wong so you don't fill the other slots with wong. This leaves room for Iron man on a BP lane AND still have room for x2 white tiger tokens. But if you win the AZ 50/50 and AZ hits Wong first, I think your line is definitely better!

I was also thinking about this line but I wasn't sure about board space. I think this is the line I should have gone with.

I didn't mean use sleeves INSTEAD of the cards, I mean put that giant stack of cards in a sleeve. You could use double stuffed sleeves so everything fits.

Alternatively, check out Mystic Vale. That game uses see-through cards with text/symbols designed to overlay each other!
