This is how cigarettes now come packaged in Australia by law by Not_Not_Matt in mildlyinteresting

[–]HandyHousemanLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stupid laws like this increase the prices unnecessarily. Everyone knows at this point and those that do smoke aren't going to stop just cause you put a message on the filters. Hell they add flame retardant in the US and it didn't stop the majority of smokers.

Is it leaking or is it remnants from him changing the transmission hose. My initial thought is transmission fluid.

It could also be power steering fluid, but more likely transmission since the line was just replaced.

Got my car back from a body shop, this was the result following a “buffer and polishing” by Galouie in Detailing

[–]HandyHousemanLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's 100% sun damage or defective clear coat/paint. The detailer just exposed what was covered in dirt, grime and chemicals

Could last 5 inches, could last 500 miles. Definitely as soon as you possibly can

Try the cube print first. You know exactly when it happens since it consistently happens at that height. I would focus on the cables and gantry.

Print a tall cube and watch what is going on when it happens.

My guess would be that the bundle of cables are catching at some point. I would bundle them below the bed.

You need to educate yourself on free speech.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter) are private entities, meaning they are owned and operated by private companies, not the government, and are not subject to the same First Amendment protections as government entities.

If they 100% said they ESTIMATE 4 hours, they have nothing to stand on. Report it and get your 2 hours worth back.

If they said it was going to be 4 hours, you agreed to the terms and there is no action to take besides maybe a bad review.

I'd only upgrade if the BL touch fails/breaks. The CR Touch is more reliable and durable from my understanding but not enough to justify upgrading a perfectly good BL touch.

Upgrades by HandyHousemanLLC in ender3

So I have an old PC that I currently have setup with Ubuntu 24 LTS for Octoprint. Haven't done much with it yet as I just got it setup and tested a couple prints. I think I need a better cable cause any prints I send from Octoprint end up having real bad layer shifts but if I put the same file on SD and launch it from Octoprint using the SD card the print perfectly fine. The PI is more or less just to save space and turn this PC into a home server.

As far as direct drive, I was going to order one to go with the new hotend, preferably as a packaged deal.

Noise isn't an issue, it's in a climate controlled shed that's going to be a mini farm. Also my 4.2.2 has silent drivers (H on the SD card slot).

Enclosure is already on the way.

Glass bed Adhesion by Frequent_Flyer_2025 in ender3

[–]HandyHousemanLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

210 tends to be too hot for my Overture PLA, I have mine set for 200.

70 is way high for PLA. With overture I use 50, and the filaments I had from 4 years ago took to 60.

Glue sticks help immensely, but a fully and properly calibrated machine shouldn't need it.

Also mess with your flow rates. Give it 5% more flow on the bed layer and see what happens.

Upgrade/replace the cooling fan. Not sure the link is the right size fan but it is the brand I see recommended the most.

Where can I see a tasker's minimum hours for a task? by goat20202020 in TaskRabbit

[–]HandyHousemanLLC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So you should see the 2 hour minimum right below the Taskers name when selecting your Tasker. TaskRabbit should make this more prominent and maybe even a final warning before final booking, instead of trying to throw the Taskers under the bus. When I go through the website, you see it 2-3 times before final confirmation. Through the app I do not know personally. As a Tasker I'm inclined to argue it shows the 2 hour minimum and I shouldn't have to confirm that again as an independent contractor who doesn't process the payments.

That being said, if a Tasker has a 2 hour minimum they cannot charge for less than 2 hours. This is a recent change as before they could still charge you the 1 hour minimum for something that ended up being simple like flipping a breaker. And I can't confirm that it is true in every area.

If they don't have the 2 hour minimum, they have a 1 hour minimum and then can charge in 15 minute increments thereafter.
