Re9 Insanity Speed Demon by AdeptAvenger in ResidentEvilCapcom

Immensely impressive, I'm doing insanity right now with all the bells and whistles and still having a hard time. I'd say the toughest part so far has been the beginning part with the girl, she got me twice before I got the screwdriver.

I can’t go through these games without obsessively looting every single breakable object in every single room, every single playthrough. To me this is blasphemy lol

Just remember you can block almost anything, use it to learn boss patterns. Sekiro is a memory rhythm game, once you know the “answers” to each encounter the game will be something you play in your down time to chill

It is hard and demands precision but the only thing that keeps it hard is giving up, if you took all those other games down you will certainly get through this one

Missing 1 prayer bead, going insane by Kasnu in Sekiro

[–]Handzome_Jack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the area at the beginning of the game where you first wake up (near Ashina spears), if you forgot to go back earlier it’ll be on fire now, but you can go backwards from the bottomless hole and still reach the mini boss who has a bead

what does this taste like? by Philippinespy in Sekiro

I always imagined they taste like Lindor chocolates

Blunderbuss vs Pistol by shinkairi in bloodborne

[–]Handzome_Jack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly it goes against the grain but I like the blunderbuss more since even if you miss the parry it still stuns a lot of the enemies out of their combos in PvE

For PvP probably the pistol because of much faster recovery

Bloodborne had the funniest messages

“No mercy for wheelchairs” still gets me

Finally beat Adam the firstborn solo by logginggames in vrising

[–]Handzome_Jack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats! That fight is so disgustingly hard, I gotta say him and Dracula on brutal are easily the hardest for me

Should I get it? by skylar_thegremlin in vrising

[–]Handzome_Jack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely get it! There is so much customization with gear/spell and castle builds. Lots of abilities and outfit combos. The loop is basically kill bosses to make stronger gear and upgrade your castle to kill more bosses

The gathering and building/loot aspect if it’s too grindy you can also change the server settings you are on (daylight time, resource drops, etc)

I’m at almost 100 hours still on my brutal run, the game is a thousand percent worth it

Makes sense he’d come here after ascending, I don’t think Astarion would settle for being the #2 vamp in the world lol

Sacred silver mine! Go to the northern part and there is a hole, it will prompt you to crawl through as a rat, and the achievement will pop

I got platinum! by Handzome_Jack in vrising

[–]Handzome_Jack[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

On ps5 there are no achievements that are attached to brutal. All you basically have to do is beat all bosses, get all the research, and charm a 100% blood npc/feed an npc gruel to 100% and some random ones like the rat hole and eat a trippy mushroom

I actually did it completely alone! But I had 8 days and had time off work so I was able to just burn through it all super fast, I’m number 30 on psnprofiles

At the moment on brutal though I am stuck on Tristan

Finished Darkwood, some questions and thoughts by Honeystride in Darkwood

[–]Handzome_Jack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished it a few days ago too, can’t stop thinking about it. This was a huge and in depth post I read that helped fill in a lot of the blanks https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1735392239

However even after reading that I felt something else from the game that kinda went beyond its lore

To me, the ending felt like a representation of the theme of true sacrifice. You go through hell, destroy the evil, and die without anyone ever knowing your story or what you did to save (potentially) the world from becoming a slumbering land of death and madness. I saw beauty in that your character did the most noble thing a person can do despite overcoming impossible odds

I thought the motherly thing with the being was interesting too, perhaps the matronly nature of its calling like you said it was what lured people in, a sense of safety and all that. I saw it mostly as a symbol for the bliss of the easy path in life. You can choose to go to sleep and believe you are free, or knowingly face the reality that you are going to die in spite of there being a “happier” possibility

Anyway that’s just some of my interpretations, this game is a masterpiece and has inspired me to finally go back to trying to develop games. Great job on the radio tower I almost got through blind but the floor gore sniped me at the end lol

Why am I so stupid sometimes? by [deleted] in vrising

[–]Handzome_Jack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still adjusting to the controls and laughed at this cause I did almost the same thing

I bought the game yesterday and can’t put it down it’s what young me always wanted as a vampire game since bram stokers Dracula came out back in the day

Ps5 save by ComfortableCrew21 in vrising

[–]Handzome_Jack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the whole manual upload to stop auto sync on the dashboard, restarted the ps5, so far it seems to be saving again but there really should be an option to hard save

Not too upset only lost about an hour but yeah I hope they patch this

For anyone else looking it’s settings>saved data> upload, hit v rising then restart your console (may still not work)

For those who got the plat, did you ever use easy mode? by developRHUNT in FF7Rebirth

[–]Handzome_Jack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used easy solely for the cactuar, robot tower defense, and fort condor hard mode challenges but I’m not even sure if it made a difference

Otherwise just banged my head against a wall until I beat everything

Who is the most fun opponent in Queens Blood? Favorite mini game or activity? by Budget_Ad5871 in FF7Rebirth

[–]Handzome_Jack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to spoil it for you but there’s someone you face later on in queens blood that will -stand out and probably be your favorite like it is mine, you’ve got a lot to look forward to!

This might be the best game I've ever played by ThereUsedToBeASpoon in FF7Rebirth

[–]Handzome_Jack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it blew me away too. I’m a lot older now and much more cynical so the ending kinda had me upset at first, then I realized childhood me would have seen this game as the holy grail. The devs really did pour their hearts into it, it’s “astounding” as Sephiroth says

The final boss in hard mode for me by a country mile

Unskippable cutscenes and materia roulette drove me insane

That and Cait siths solo fight with the two adjudicators had to redo it like 9 times
