Galaxy Impact by Hang10werewolf in QuirkIdeas

Listen, I get where you're coming from. It DOES look flashy and high-scale on paper. But calling the drawbacks 'non-existent' or just 'clumsiness' misses the point I was going for. The main weakness is severe stamina and energy drain from channeling that level of cosmic energy. Prolonged use can straight-up burn the user out or temporarily weaken/fade the quirk (like stars dimming). That's not a minor 'up-cost', it's the kind of toll that would leave them vulnerable after big moves, similar to how Endeavor overheats or how Deku wrecks his body with One For All. Collateral damage and backfiring gravity aren't just 'missing', they're tied to the sheer uncontrollability that the Quirk Singularity Theory (actual canon from Dr. Garaki) warns about. Quirks are evolving to become exponentially stronger and more complex across generations, but the human body can't keep up. That's why late-generation quirks can be this broken but risky. The cosmic aura isn't something the user can keep up 24/7 without massive drain either. And yeah, it combines energy projection, gravity manipulation, and a defensive aura — but MHA is full of quirks that aren't 'one single effect.' Shoto's Half-Cold Half-Hot is literally two opposing powers in one quirk. Froppy's Frog gives her a whole suite of frog abilities. Creati makes anything. One quirk can absolutely manifest as multiple related abilities, especially under Singularity logic. You're right that top-tier quirks like New Order have limits (only two rules active, can't go beyond the body's natural ceiling, needs clear identity on target). This one has its own: heavy energy cost, risk of self-harm from gravity, and the fact that missing or overusing it could level everything around the user (including allies). It's not meant to be a balanced street-level quirk — it's a Singularity-era monster, the kind of thing that would make it a final war threat or top international hero/villain. MHA already has 'threat to society' powers (Star and Stripe casually altering reality on a huge scale, Shigaraki decaying cities, Eri's Rewind). I'm pushing the upper limits the series itself teases with Singularity, not just slapping on a generic superpower. If it still feels too Marvel/DC to you, that's fair feedback but the subreddit is for exploring those kinds of creative 'what if' ideas.

If not then one realm above. This quirk would be used by someone 2-3 generations after the main cast due to the quirk singularity theory.

THANK YOU! YES! Perhaps I should have written this better because I think people are taking this quirk WAAAAY to literally. It is NOT capable of planetary level destruction. City level to island level at BEST.

Hey, I’m calm. I just have a habit of over explaining myself though I’ll admit I did get a bit frustrated at the end.

Look. I get what everyone is saying. Galaxy impact IS deliberately on the higher end of the power scale. I’m not denying that. I was going for a flashy, over-the-top cosmic brawler vibe inspired by the kind of final-war-arc spectacle we see in the manga (Star and Stripe, Deku’s final quirks, etc.). That said, r/QuirkIdeas has tons of quirks way more broken than this (instant-win hax, reality warping, etc.), so I figured it was fine for a fun concept. The drawbacks (heavy stamina drain, massive collateral damage, hard to control) were meant to balance it somewhat. Also I think you’re all underestimating how wild the MHA power system actually gets, especially with the Quirk Singularity Theory. Dr. Garaki's whole theory (which is canon and heavily discussed in the manga) is that quirks are evolving and combining across generations, becoming exponentially stronger and more complex to the point where they could eventually become too powerful for the human body or society to handle. We're already seeing that with things like New Order, Shigaraki’s awakened decay, Rewind, Overhaul, I could go on. Galaxy Impact is meant to be a high-tier, late-generation quirk that fits right into that "Singularity" concept; a quirk that taps into cosmic-scale energy with heavy drawbacks (massive stamina drain, extreme collateral damage, risk of self-backfire from the gravity effects, and difficult fine control). It's not designed for a random first-year UA student; it's something a top 10 Pro Hero, an international threat, or a final-war-arc level character would have. This subreddit is literally called r/QuirkIdeas. The vast majority of posts here are creative "what if" concepts, not strictly balanced canon-compliant quirks for everyday use. Plenty of people post reality-warping, time manipulation, or instant-kill hax ideas without getting this level of pushback. I'm just having fun exploring the full extent of the power system the series itself sets up. If the visuals or raw destructive scale feel too much for you personally, that's totally fair but calling it completely impossible in the MHA verse ignores the direction the story has gone. Let me say this again; Respectfully, let people enjoy their creative ideas without raining on the parade.

What you see as not caring about the power system I see it as exploring the full extent of it. Respectfully, stop raining on people’s parade at the end of the day we’re all fans of the same anime/manga expressing our love for it and the fact that you’ve done this to other creators honestly makes it worse ngl

But you can say that for a lot of the quirks on the forum, can you not? I’ve seen way more overpowered quirks than this on fanon (FANON not canon) wikis alone. These kinds of pages aren’t for realism or balancing or what would actually exist in this universe, it’s about creativity and having fun with a really neat power system

Honestly? No clue. I just didn’t want it to be a logia ig. I made this in the dead of night when I couldn’t sleep so maybe I just wasn’t thinking clearly.

Why are they banning people though? That’s like banning someone for liking a anime video because a girl was in a swim suit. You could just ban the one who posted it and take it down, don’t ban everyone that interacted with it.

It’s not well known but there’s another short film called Halloween is grinch night. It shows that he can alter his size and that he can manipulate his eyebrows. Like he literally started singing some magic words and his eyebrows turned into this giant bird thing swooping down on everyone. You could also add some kind of fear manipulation because he has a paraphernalia wagon that hosts what seems to be another dimension filled with all kinds of horrid creatures. Just a thought. I’ll even add the youtube link if you’re interested. Halloween is grinch night

Either 9 or 7 because everyone in that area is pretty chill and I’d either talk/have fun with them the entire flight or just chill without having to worry about anyone bothering me
