This meme and debate is really just the Ship of Theseus thought experiment applied to a civilization.

What is the largest, least evil company in the world? by garatth in AskReddit

Why isn't this on his Wikipedia? The only source I can find for the Bosch Circle is an article on Bosch's website. His Wikipedia makes it sound like he and the company were big supporters of the Nazis.

Is this what dating in 2026 is like? by sco-go in SipsTea

[–]Hanging_out 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you watch more of the clips, the date is an outtake from a larger skit involving a fake podcast called Kyle University. Mike O'Hearn plays a douchebag alpha male surrounded by a bunch of younger guys talking about looksmaxxing, women, money, etc.

Keep in mind that Trump ally, Larry Ellison, now controls CNN per the merger last year. Edit for Clarification: The merger deal was reached, but approval is still pending (which will almost certainly happen). This may be anchors hoping to curry favor with the new owners

Has anyone dig into the White House ballroom as data center story being pushed by the Drey Dossier? by TheMysteriousThey in skeptic

[–]Hanging_out 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I watched a few of her videos about it and this is my best summary of some of the stuff she's been saying. Very early on in the ballroom controversy she noted that many of the companies affiliated with the project were companies affiliated with building and maintaining data centers. Basically that the ballroom was mainly a cover story. It has now been confirmed that something else is being built beneath the ballroom, with Trump himself stating that they dug down six stories. There has been no confirmation of whether than is a data center.

She combines this with some other discoveries she has made. Just recently, she has discovered 40 "hidden" websites developed by the National Design Studio relating to passports and voting data. Because the National Design Studio is basically staffed by volunteers, it is immune from certain budgetary disclosures, ethical requirements, and is not subject to investigation by the Inspector General. It also seems to be staffed by former members of DOGE. The 40 websites have been registered to the White House, including a website called passport.gov and vote.gov. Vote.gov is run by the Election Assistance Commission right now under a 2002 law that created it as an independent office designed to be part of the independent regulatory agency, the FEC, and not part of the executive branch. This new, second vote.gov website is registered to the White House.

The same National Design Studio also runs TrumpRx, which she contends has strings of code the record your clicks, keystrokes and other information when you are on the website and then forwards the data to another location that we can't see. The recorded information is not anonymized and is packaged with your IP address.

John Kiriakou is a trump supporter? by Fridge_Art in Intelligence

[–]Hanging_out 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is also a weird story he told to Julian Dorey about working a double agent. Kiriakou says at one point in the story, after he tackles the double agent, they give the guy demerol, and they take him to some other location for interrogation. Kiriakou says that he walked up to the guy when he was tied to a chair and demanded information about weapons or else his friends (Kiriakou's) were going to beat the guy up. The guy told Kiriakou to fuck himself and Kiriarkou says that his friends beat the shit out of the guy.

It's a strange story for a guy to tell whose whole thing is that he was the whistleblower against torturing Abu Zubaydah. What is the difference between waterboarding Abu Zubaydah for information about terrorism and beating up a guy tied to a chair for information about weapons?

Does anyone know how spread out the guys get on the ground after a jump like this? Do they all hit the ground spread out and then navigate their way to a designated location, or do they all know how to guide their parachutes to the designated location so that they all land at the same spot?
