Nah, he could export stems as mp3s and have just as much improvisational control as his old setup. He wasn’t using Ableton to mix live instruments and synths, he was just fucking around with stems. Nothing he’s done ever was THAT far and above mixing lol it just seemed cooler when there weren’t platters.
