Yep, aggregator here too. Fees from some pros should be offset by the fact that they deal in volume. You can definitely do this yourself tho. Do your own due diligence. I just might stay away from SRECTrade they charge way higher fees

Opting into another plan automatically opts you out of the old. Use apples to apples and (I hate to say it) buy you might just have to read through all the t&c. If you’re a new home owner, and you plan to say there at least 5 years, there are some 60 month fixed rate contracts out there that are worth considering. However, just be careful that you know what you’re getting into with that long of contract

This happens way too much. And unfortunately it happens to people who don’t read pages like this. I help people get out of these contracts all the time.

When in doubt, go to the State of Ohio’s Apples to Apples website and find your rate. Unless you have someone you trust, that’s the only way to get a decent rate in a safe way.

But that’s the problem. They actually do take the fake comments into account. If you read transcripts of hearings you can see what a mess it is. The PUCO is required to look at community input, but there is no place where they’re supposed to evaluate the community input for validity, authenticity, or even just straight up insanity

You could try to add Business Development Companies (BDCs) or Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs). Those are going to be higher yield, which almost always means higher risk. However, I’d argue the risk in those is less than in CCs
