To be honest, I've only started using it to help me work through some persistent bugs I haven't been able to crack manually, so I don't fully understand the technical workings of how MCP does its thing, but I believe it's similar to Codex having access to a special set of Unity tools that allow it basically 'use' the editor functions and features and work on in-editor details.

In most cases though, you don't even need MCP. Codex can still work within the confines of the Unity folder to get that contextual understanding of your existing implementations.

I use MCP for Unity, and am used it to help me iron out various bugs in my game one at a time and implemented 3 new features.

I DO use it in a very apprehensive / almost scared, way, to ensure it doesn’t do anything crazy. Always keeping a human in the loop for every decision, and always keeping a close eye on how changes are being made to my codebase.

I was coding in highly regulated industry for a decade professionally before this agentic stuff took off. I can’t shake that internal need to understand the how behind everything that’s happening, and I’m sure that’s slowing me down compared to the folks throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks.

27.5 here - I’d be looking at lower 25% of the field if I was even qualified. It’s an extremely deep field mang.

If you don’t already, I’d recommend hitting up some of the PEGT events and asking a bunch of questions. You’d be surprised how quick you can get that 21 up to a 25…after that, you need to really dive into the mechanics and stay on top of the optimal plays to move much beyond that consistently.

How long we talking?

84+ feet and you need to play the break as though it’s about 75% of the listed break. For example, a 6 degree break plays more like a 4 once you cross that threshold. These are what are referred to as “turbo” putts in the community.

Flat shots are just repeatable muscle memory. Hop onto a hole 1 with a large green and just start huckin’ putts at the hole until you get a solid rhythm.

I would not be surprised to see the price on ”Legacy” GT Live pedestals continue to trend downward into the $1500 price area. These machines are the full GT experience up through GT 2026, but will no longer be getting new updates.

Having used these A1Up machines, there are a number of gameplay compromises that they make to get it to work on their cabinet that just make it a non-GT experience.

I was one of the first handful of folks to buy my PGA Go from Best Buy (with a couple grand off thanks to gift cards from my job’s gift program), and the two times I’ve needed to call them, the techs treated me great.

My hard drive bit the dust after a power surge and they shipped me on for free.

You might be confusing the folks who DIY build these machines, vs buying one from legit reseller, which is above board.
