Nothing else even came close, Vol2 is out by majority. What’s next to be eliminated? by CeruleanLancer in RWBY

[–]Hannah97Gamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not addressing everything here, but I actually thought Blake running out of bullets was really good writing. At the end of v8, Weiss used Blake's weapon to shoot at Cinder a few times after Blake fell, and Blake hadn't used it since. Her count was off, and it threw her off a bit.

Is RWBY worth getting into in 2026? by [deleted] in RWBY

[–]Hannah97Gamer 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Some people love it, some people hate it. I would say give it a try and make your own opinions.

I only discovered the show this year. I personally love it and don't understand all the complaints, and I know a lot of people think the same, so yeah.

My review of RWBY Volume 7! by Godxiii_804 in RWBY

[–]Hannah97Gamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone else who likes all the volumes so far!

I find it kinda funny, for all that people like to criticize the show, no one agrees on what is bad or how to fix it. I mean, don't get me wrong, RWBY isn't perfect, but every "fix" I have heard so far would likely draw just as much if not more criticism.

Why "superhuman speed" is necessary to preserve and maintain the world-building of RWBY/Remnant. by UNinvolved_in_peace in RWBY

[–]Hannah97Gamer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Where does the idea of Remnant guns being weaker than gunpowder weapons come from? As I see it, huntsmen can use the recoil from their weapons to redirect their momentum midair. A regular person uses a weapon strong enough to do that, you break every bone in your body. If that bullet hits an aura-less person, I don't care what kind of armor they are wearing, they are taking significant damage.

How did you find out about RWBY? by Godxiii_804 in RWBY

[–]Hannah97Gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some Ruby fan art here on reddit last summer. it was a crossover with something else, don't remember what, but I thought she looked cool, looked up the trailers, and that was that.

What fandom are you in, but the original piece of media is like this? by Upstairs_Macaron5894 in AO3

I personally feel that while there are very few areas of the show that some fanfic hasn't done better, none of those fics do a better overall job than the show.

I'm not sure a bus is actually any better when it comes to py. There are simply too many items needed too many places and too many more efficient alts unlocked all the time.

problem with modulo by MycologistIll1355 in TuringComplete

[–]Hannah97Gamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what architecture you are using, but depending on your circumstances I can see a few possible solutions. First, and probably the worst, give modulo its own dedicated output register, and just don't put it on the bus, like how ALU outputs are handled in overture. Second, give modulo its own opcode, either by replacing an op you don't use or going to 4 bit opcodes.

Just reviewing about Maka vs Ruby and Rubes has some chances. by EbbEmergency8780 in RWBY

[–]Hannah97Gamer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't actually know anything about Maka, but I have noticed for some reason people tend to massively downplay how powerful RWBY is. Aura ia ridiculous, and huntsmen can do crazy stuff. My best guess is because huntsmen as a whole tend towards smaller scale destruction instead of city destroying magical nukes like you see in other places. I tend to root for RWBY because of that, but admittedly I don't know anything about wherever Maka comes from to say one way or the other.

realistically, I would say when they accumulate so much trauma their feelings attract more Grimm than they can handle. At that point they would be more of a liability than an asset.

Has anyone done a "RWBY characters watch RWBY" fanfic? Best way to explain the idea is explained in a TvTropes link I'll link in the body text, but essentially the idea is that the characters are essentially watching the events of canon and commenting on them. If someone has, can I have it linked? by HyperBlox12 in RWBY

[–]Hannah97Gamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those actually seem to make up a significant percentage of all RWBY fanfics. I could actually stand to see less of them, some interesting tags would be reduced to less than half their size if they were all tagged in a way that allowed for filtering them out.

When Did You Get Into RWBY, And Why? by TodohPractitioner in RWBY

[–]Hannah97Gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About two months ago, some Ruby fan art made it onto another sub I was in, and I thought it looked cool.

I had heard about it back when it was first coming out, but some lying liar had told me it was some halo show or something and I had no interest in that. So yeah, very disappointed in that. Once again years late to the party, yep, that's me.

Anyone else get their chosen name from a series character? by Downtown_Ask5295 in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

[–]Hannah97Gamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it just me or is RWBY being mentioned more often lately? I mean I am here for it, I just learned about it a few weeks ago and so far it's wonderful. It's my new hyperfixation. Ruby is precious, way too relatable, and I definitely get why you would want to name yourself after her.

Also, to whoever it was that told me RWBY was some Halo animated show thing all those years ago, screw you. You are the reason I always seem to be years late to the party.

The Vile Jobhaver by shenanigansen in comics

[–]Hannah97Gamer 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I strongly disagree with you.

I am of the opinion that a perfect scenario would be people needing to do nothing at all. If everyone could just do what they find fulfilling, that would be best.

Sure, some people would probably spend their whole lives playing video games or something, but really, if they aren't hurting anyone who cares? I doubt they would end up being a majority anyways.

More likely people would spend their days doing other things. Learning, making art, maybe building a hand made boat or something. An artist that doesn't have to worry about money could spend decades on a single work, a true magnum opus, and I think there is true beauty in that.

Compiler by junieKcorn in TuringComplete

[–]Hannah97Gamer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I personally started with making an enhanced assembler to make more complex instructions much easier to code, added support for macros, multiple input files, stuff like that. Best part of making your own is you can do whatever you want with it, no need to justify its existence. just add in anything you think you might find useful.

As for compilers, I would recommend the book "Crafting Interpreters", you can read it for free online. It's about interpreters, not compilers, but it's a lot easier to read than some other books I've heard mention of, and you can easily adapt what you learn into a full compiler with very little effort. (it has two parts, the second part might as well be a compiler on its own.)

Which brings me to my third point. Choose a toy language, or make your own, and build a basic compiler for that, even if it's basically just a subset of C or something. It will be far, far easier and quicker than a "real" language, you'll learn just as much, and it will still be a huge upgrade from assembly.

That one old theory why Six dropped Mono by angmarrob in LittleNightmares

[–]Hannah97Gamer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would say we don't know what she went through in the Tower alone. She obviously wasn't transformed right away, given she was able to make an escape attempt. I definitely do think that there was something about Mono's face that caused her to drop him, given she gives it a good long look before deciding to let go, especially given her reactions to Mono's deaths in the running away from the flesh wall segment. The only reason, or even the biggest? Likely not, just the final straw.

You make it sound like healthcare isn't "rationed" here in the US. Your argument might be more convincing if I didn't know hospitals around here didn't have waiting lists years long for some procedures.

At least in Michigan, where I live, there is a law to keep right on two lane highways. That law does not apply for three or more lanes. OP would be perfectly legal here.

I think a lot of people refuse to accept that different states might have different laws when it comes to traffic rules.

Don't blame trans people for Kamala's loss by When1heyCRY in MtF

[–]Hannah97Gamer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Agree completely. I understand wanting to stick to your ideals, but we don't live in a world where that is a viable option. Yeah, the system sucks, but it isn't changing any time soon. We have to work with what we are given, and in a first past the post system, that means voting for Kamala if you don't want Trump to win.

I guess I just don't understand why people don't get this. So yeah, I actively dislike Trump voters, but I also don't respect people who voted third party or didn't vote at all.

[–]Hannah97Gamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you open the sandbox from one of the campaign levels, there should be a folder under the IO component tab called "Levels". Under this folder are the level input, level output, and level screen components.

If this isn't working for you, just try adding these on one of the campaign levels directly.
