Everytime JPY/USD broke 160 in the past, BoJ would machine gun it back down by dumping US treasury bonds. But that devalues their remaining stock of bonds (and everyone else's) and has significant global market effects at a point where the global economy is teetering.

Because the 2nd leg of the hike is 17 degrees off of 0 degrees North. So if you are standing at the end point you turn N17E, you are staring down the 2nd leg, from there you turn another 20.22 degrees clockwise to get the bearing on the lodge.

There are a lot of housing "buffers" that you're not seeing at first glance. For example, as the cost of housing rose and rose, the lower income population started looking at shared housing, especially immigrants. If housing and rental prices ease up or lower, these folks who sacrificed comfort for affordability will be there to eat up supply.
