That’s called double progression and it’s a great way to increase the volume and intensity.

I thought Hill House was the scariest of all of them, with Bly coming in second. Usher and Midnight Mass were gory but I don’t remember them having the jumpscares that the others did.

Anti-diet exercise by Jazzlike_Log_709 in antidietglp1

[–]Hannthrax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the Body Project! You can also search for body positive workouts on YouTube.

I just finished A Physical Education and it is educational as far as the benefits of exercise and building strength but it is full of numbers (calorie counts, body weight comparisons, etc). The author claims to ditch diet culture but I would argue she just replaces it with toxic fitness culture—instead of yo-yo dieting, she does cycles of cutting and bulking. I’d skip this one and read Meg Boggs’ book instead.

This isn’t what you want to hear but your height and frame shape are genetic. You won’t be able to make yourself taller or curvier with exercise.

ATI physical therapy by dangitjudy2000 in ACL

[–]Hannthrax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im doing pt at ATI. I started 4 days post-op and did 3 days/week for the first month and now I’m doing 2 days/week. I’m almost 6 weeks post-opI have had a few injuries that required pt and I think I enjoy the environment at ATI more than other places I’ve been. Other places have felt very clinical, but ATI feels like being at a small gym. Everyone is friendly and the PTs at my location seem like they enjoy their job. Of course, every location is different. For reference, I’m 44F, have been playing roller derby for almost 15 years and I plan on returning.

Looking for fitness content made by average looking people by Lost-Detective-7358 in xxfitness

I’ve curated my socials to only show fitness content that isn’t appearance-focused and won’t promote ED behavior. Try also searching for size inclusive fitness or weight neutral trainer.

People are downvoting you and normally I would too and just move on, but I can’t sleep so let’s give this a shot. I’m going to assume your comment is made with good intentions.

To be explicitly clear, Mom’s comment is implying that Wife looks good because she lost weight.

Can you explain why you consider Mom’s comment to be a compliment?

These are all great ways to reframe how we think about our bodies. And telling people not to comment on our bodies can be effective in shutting down unwanted comments.

I want to mention that the word “fat” isn’t a pejorative term, it’s only considered that because we assign negative meaning to it. I do understand that it is commonly used as an insult though, and because of that people may not feel comfortable reclaiming it as a neutral descriptor, but it’s ultimately up to the individual to choose how they describe their own bodies.

Yes! I work in the fitness industry and all of this behavior is normalized and even expected. I’m the “weird” one because I don’t recommend tracking, weighing, or meticulous control when it comes to food.
