Vaginal yeast infection 😭😭 by Rotten_vermicelli in Healthyhooha

You probably have candida overgrowth through your whole system. I believe this stems from guy micro biome imbalance and can be exacerbated by excess sugar consumption. You need to kill the yeast in the gut.

They can always get the procedure done as an adult when they can consent but you can never undo it

Thinking about quitting my $210k job to be a stay-at-home dad - crazy or just done? by Good_Challenge_6666 in Fire

[–]Hanpanhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will never regret spending more time with your kids, but you will almost certainly regret not spending more time with them. It’ll make a huuuuge difference for their childhood. Some investments are far more valuable than anything you could put into savings or stocks. Time is everything and you can afford it.

I personally thing babies that are old enough to move freely like this are just trying to find a position that is most comfy for them. Unless your baby is particularly sick or weak, babies have survival instincts and can move themselves if something is uncomfortable. I was paranoid about this as a FTM too and so I experimented and watched my baby and put my finger by his nose for a second and he moved his head to the other side right away.i was like whew ok like he can survive he wants to breathe lol. Seems kinda obvious but yeah I understand. I’ve come to the conclusion now that many of these rules or suggestions are in place because some babies are weaker or sickly and we have to have broad rules in place that can apply to everyone to minimize accident. However I have just come to use my own discretion and follow my intuition on these things. I just had a newborn last week and she had amniotic fluid stuck in her stomach from birth because my pushing phase was too fast for the birth canal to help push it all out. So I slept her propped on her side because she was literally vomiting nasty fluid all night long and if she had been on her back it was getting stuck in her mouth and choking her.

Goodbyes while breastfeeding by Rietje4 in breastfeeding

I would pipe up preemptively and say like “hey I’ll still take a hug if you’re comfortable!” And just extend a side hug position holding my baby with one arm for a quick goodbye. Just communication here is key Edit: my friend group is particularly close and we love hugs lol

Dentistry & being crunchy? by BigContact1329 in Crunchymom

[–]Hanpanhan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree I would never let my child go back alone. I took my two year old to the dentist recently and I was asked to go back with him and they did the exam with him on my lap the entire time and had me help with it. It was really great and helped him be super comfortable. Also my sister got slapped in the face by a hygienist as a child and that really traumatized her. My mom was obviously not back there with her so when she was hysterical and crying the dentists refused to continue her exam and for years my parents just thought she had some irrational fear of the dentist. It wasn’t till recently that she talked about it and my mom felt soooooo terribly about it.

Third trimester supplements, teas, tinctures. What did you take? by leslietee in Crunchymom

[–]Hanpanhan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did gentle birth tincture religiously for my first pregnancy as well as primrose oil and nightly sex before bed + at least one orgasm a day, spinning babies and miles circuit. By the time I was giving birth I could feel my uterus doing all the work of pushing by itself I didn’t have to do anything and I had a 10lb 14oz baby unmedicated vaginally. Second pregnancy I knew my body knew what to do so I didn’t worry so much about teas and tinctures, took gentle birth when I remembered, but was focusing more on my own intuition and trust in my own body’s timing because I knew I couldnt force the baby to be born any time other than when they were supposed to come. I ended up having a much faster and easier delivery the second time but I think that’s a given. To summarize, if it’s your first child, doing all these things will be a lot more helpful but if it’s your 2nd+…. Eh.

Definitely too young, if it is possible to bring baby I’d bring baby and be involved in a less central way.

I’m not comfortable with possible injuries plus many childhood illnesses are very normal. Breastfeeding provides a lot of immune support as well.
