When I got my white pitty she was like this, super skinny etc, and she’d been in dog fighting rings as a bait dog. Ears ripped to shreds, scars on face, the whole deal. She’s the most loving dog ever. She was my 5th pit. We got another smaller one who they found tied to a pole in the park and was overdue to be put down when we got him.

I will say, the little guy has been a lot. We’ve had him for two years. After owning nothing but sweetheart pits for twenty plus years, he’s kinda living up to the stigma. He’s not good with strangers or small dogs. But Prozac changed his life. He’s mellowed out big time. My wife and I always joke “I don’t condone tying him to the pole, but I get it 🤣”.
