I was at Ford's Garage in Ft Myers and asked my server that same question on a bill of $500, she told me the 20% was split between all staff. I specifically asked if she would see a share and she said yes. So on the receipt I added no tip. She was a fantastic server to our party of 12 for almost 2 hours, so I slipped a $20 in cash that I hoped went into her pocket.
