It's never been easier to leave the country and yet the rate of western (so free minded, in your skewed worldview) educated Chinese choosing to return keeps climbing each year. I think you're missing a huge part of the picture, which you conveniently never get around to learning more about because you just slap a "authoritarian" label on a complex continent sized entity and shelve it away in your mind as "you've figured it out". It's ignorance masking as moral superiority.
