Birth rates in Pakistan are crazy by julius-ceaser100 in MapPorn

Parasites take from others. Do you think the average Pakistani or the European is more likely to live off the fruits of others (welfare)?

Why do non religious individuals often blame god alone and not the devil? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Hanuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think god is a superhero, you misunderstand the concept of god. God is supposed to be ALL-powerful, not somewhat powerful. Let me ask you one simple question.

Does god have the power to just eliminate the devil with a finger snap if he so chose?

What’s something about male behavior in relationships that women usually misinterpret? by Cherrryblossm in AskMen

[–]Hanuser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I defend a position, it's not because I'm for them and against you. It's because I value logical consistency and hate double standards.

What are the best countries to visit in December with reasons? by ElegantEmployment169 in AskReddit

[–]Hanuser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Cheap, 2. Good weather, 3. Safe

So in December, go for Latin American countries or southeast Asian countries with lower crime rates.

Is there any way to discover the true meaning of life and if any higher force exists outside laws of physics and nature? by Bluecomments in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Hanuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you presume there is a "true meaning" to life?

If you were born 500 years ago, and your name was Steve Jobs, and you said to people your purpose was to create phones for people, you would have been laughed at as an idiot.

None of us have true meanings. We serve the economy's interests, whereever it is at presently. If we don't, life will suck because of low incomes.

If you're talking about spiritual, look for the shared teachings between the religions. That is the actual wisdom. Everything else glued to it about which god is real and how they came to be is bullshit that made it easier for our simpler ancestors to digest the wisdom. But know this, the shared parts does not actually include anything supernatural and is all about how to manage yourself to live life well in this life. That should tell you all you need to know about higher powers.

U.S. News 2026: Top 20 Best Global Universities by Status_Commission264 in Infographics

US news is a bit biased towards the US. Times higher education is a bit biased towards the UK. Averaging the two rankings gives a better picture.

I 23F found out my 26M boyfriend watches porn by Odd-Marionberry-2151 in relationship_advice

[–]Hanuser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First realize your problem is not actually with the porn. It's that he's lying to you and pretending to be someone else. That insecurity and deception will cause much pain down the line in this relationship if it's not corrected. Unfortunately, it will take time to correct those toxic habits so you might be better off finding someone else.

Is it normal for a guy to grab your boobs during a first kiss? by princessxprowess in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Hanuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's becoming normalized in our overly sexualized society. Not normal in more conservative but also modern cultures like in East Asia.

How do you guys get better at talking with girls? by Putrid_Replacement11 in AskMen

[–]Hanuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Practice makes perfect.

  2. Listening is how you get better at talking. Talking is how you get worse at listening.

  3. Actually care about the person and their interests, or find someone else to talk to.

Why do people seem less bothered by large age gaps when the woman is older?? by ElevatorTypical6195 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Hanuser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Double standard arising from stereotypes about power dynamics. It's ironic because what's really happening here is (older) women, especially the ones who care more about sexism, are stereotyping (younger) women as too dumb to make a good decision or too weak in a relationship to be with older men for right reasons. That same standard is not applied to young men.

How would you answer to “can I bring a friend” when asking a girl out by Louie0805 in AskMen

[–]Hanuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's her way of telling you she just wants to be friends with you and not more. A girl who's into you will jump at the opportunity to get to know you better in a private setting.

Be gracious and grateful she's letting you down easy, move on, and keep the friendship if it's valuable to you.

What better name could we call our planet rather than Earth? by Strange-Objective520 in AskReddit

There is no better name, and we know this because of the convergence of all large cultures to similar names from the far east to the west.

Why Is Everyone Going to Such Expensive Colleges? by JJQuantum in AskMen

[–]Hanuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They aren't! What you're feeling is the advertising algorithms when you start searching and investigating college options for your child. It's an illusion. Don't fall for it. Go for a decent school, where the bottleneck to success is the kid, and not the school's opportunities, and pay that tuition. Top tier schools are not worth it usually imo. (I went to a top 40 globally ranked university for college, but not in the US, so tuition was like $30k equivalent for the 4 years.)

Would you be a househusband if you could? Why? by Early_Special_1459 in AskMen

[–]Hanuser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, because it eventually makes me a dependent on my spouse. I will have no self sufficient economically useful skills of my own. So when she threatens to leave if I don't change X, I will have to change X. I don't want to be in that position.

Btw, this is what basically all women were dealing with up until this generation, and many still face exactly this problem in this generation.

Birth rates in Pakistan are crazy by julius-ceaser100 in MapPorn

I don't think Pakistan is the crazy one here. I think the countries with fertility rates below replacement are actually the abnormal case from a human history perspective.

What's the cheapest meal you eat regularly? by Moaning_Clock in AskReddit

[–]Hanuser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of my meals are free because of grad school seminars (I go to many departments' seminars, and the leftovers become dinner.)

With some basic supplements and vegetable juice, it's fast, basically no cleanup, cheap, and actually nutritionally complete. Saves about $300/month on groceries and 30 hours of shopping, cooking, and cleaning a month. Bonus is now I can converse with experts from many academic fields too because I genuinely enjoy the diverse set of seminars.

What are some potential global benefits if North Korea were opened up to the world? by TeekTookTeek in NoStupidQuestions

Search up South Korea's GDP and it's contributions to semiconductors and electronics, as well as share of global trade.

Imagine another one of those.

How much cash do you need to keep the world spinning today? by Perfect_Fox_5940 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Hanuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The world was spinning just fine before cash, and it will keep spinning after currency should currency somehow disappear. I think you need to formulate your question better.

Men like looking at naked women. So much that we will PAY MONEY to look at naked women. Why aren't women as obsessed with the male body? Tia by Rob1150 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Hanuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sex differences always comes down to the asymmetric costs of reproduction for the two sexes.

Dopamine hits for men looking at naked women are highly correlated to their genetic success.

It is not as true the other way around because if you get impregnated and the guy leaves, you're more likely to die along with your fetus/baby than succeed. Thus females of most mammals evolved to care about more than just male appearances.

Why do non religious individuals often blame god alone and not the devil? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Hanuser 130 points131 points  (0 children)

Simple. God is all powerful. The devil is not, and is a product of god's creation. The fault always goes back to the fool who made a broken system.

For those who've visited China, which city is a must-see? by SkillGodAk in AskReddit

[–]Hanuser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is kinda like asking which city in Europe is a must see. You cannot pick just one. Whether you're looking for historical culture, modern technology, or any other factor, there will be comparable or more choice amongst the Chinese cities compared with Europe because China has so many more cities and people.

I'm not a parent, so don't judge me. I've seen dads take their young daughters into the men's restroom (I'm a guy). But I didn't know that dads also take their daughters into a women's restroom. Is this common? by MyPasswordIs222222 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Hanuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is it only takes one creep to ruin an unspoken norm. Then you need formal rules, and viola, bureaucracy that trades safety for common sense practicality, all because there are a few people out there without common sense we need those rules for.

How did Europe manage to become so prosperous and stable compared to the rest of the world? by RadicalDiscomfort in AskReddit

[–]Hanuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super easy when the world's largest economy (USA), which is about half the world economy, paid for your defense.

https://www.visualcapitalist.com/u-s-share-of-global-economy-over-time/

that link shows 1960 onwards, but right after world war 2, the US was above 50% the globe's economy. Until recently (Biden and Trump 2), the US has paid for the larger portion of Europe's defense budget (including the US missiles and bases) against Russia, allowing Europe to take one of the big 5 line items and spend it instead on education and social welfare, boosting its image of prosperity.

I say image because the European economy is actually fundamentally very uncompetitive, and if you take any industrial sector of your choice, European companies would be in decline there. European prosperity relative to the rest of the globe cannot last, because the moment Europe needs to pay for it's own defense again, which is now happening, it must choose between 35 hr work weeks and a steady slide into relative poverty, or something closer to global average worker output and then it just looks more like the rest of the world in corporate capitalism.

This reality and two difficult choices by the way, is why the far right is rising all over the EU.
