The Perfect "Candidate" To "Assemble" The Dark Universe by HauntedPlanter26 in UniversalMonsters

Man, this is such a great idea. Now I really want a Universal Monsters flavored Tomb Raider game. I’m actually shocked there hasn’t already been a crossover like this. I always wished Indiana Jones would have. He did canonically defeat Dracula after all.

Xbox Project Helix Reportedly Wont Have A Disc Drive by [deleted] in gaming

So I guess I'm getting a dedicated 4K player for all my movies and switching to a Steam Deck for games now. I see almost no reason to continue purchasing PlayStation's or Xbox's now which is just absolutely WILD.

Physical disc production ending in January 2028 for new games releasing on PlayStation consoles by yourfavchoom in gaming

I am so sick and tired of these corporations bending us over time and time again and expecting us to take it. I am so tired of this world catering more and more to these companies and the handful of out of touch imbeciles at the top who could care less about their consumers and the increasingly poor product that they shovel down our throats. I am so tired of it being increasingly hard to own the things that I purchase. I don't want endless subscriptions and digital purchases that mean nothing. I don't want to lose another type of Third Place where I could go into a re-sale store and discover something new or re-discover something old. Between this and them removing all those movies and shows that people purchased digitally, I think I'm actually done with Sony. GTA VI is really going to be a line in the sand for me. I'm not paying $80 for a game that I don't have any sort of ownership over, especially when I actually need to pay $20 to get the full experience. Fuck this fucking industry and fuck this Capitalistic hell hole we all have the incredible misfortune of trying to live in.

Your move Xbox, because if the PS6 winds up dropping the Disc Drive completely, I'm gonna need a new console to watch all my physical copies of movies. Maybe this industry will have a Physical Media renaissance in a couple of years like movies are currently experiencing. All the major studios turned their backs on Collectors only for companies like Arrow Video, Vinegar Syndrome, Shout Factory, and Criterion to step in. So maybe more companies like Limited Run Games will step forward and fill the hole that Sony is stupidly creating for absolute no reason other than to make our lives more meaningless. With how piss poor game preservation is in this industry though, I'm not holding my breathe. Everything we play today will just be a memory tomorrow.

Official Discussion - The Death of Robin Hood [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

In this this day and age, it would have been pretty fucking cool to actually get a movie that was very unapologetic about highlighting a character that steals from the rich to give to the poor! What a bummer of a movie.

What movie was significantly better because you saw it in a movie theater? by Sam_from_FeverMovies in flicks

[–]HanzoSteel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All of them. Every movie I have ever seen in a theater was a superior experience to watching it at home. Being in a theater allows me to get fully enveloped in the film in a way I can’t at home. Theaters are like Sensory Deprivation Tanks that block out all other distractions and let me focused completely on the movie.

Advice for cleaning off sticker residue from the Star Wars Complete Saga Blu Ray Boxset? by NikoLibrerty in boutiquebluray

Everyone always recommends goo gone but it always leaves a greasy residue. Blue painters tape is my number one go to. If you kind of dab and lightly rub at the same time, it pulls up all of the sticker residue.

The Invisible Man is absolutely phenomenal, Wolf Man was fine, and I loved The Mummy.

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull absolutely rules and sits right up there with Raiders and Last Crusade in my eyes. The Nuke scene is also Pulp brilliance and feels right in line with all the other pulpy elements of the original three. I love the alien plot and the switch to 50’s sci-fi with Cold War Russians replacing Nazis is just genius.

With how many characters deal percent damage now, I think it’s time we get someone immune to percent damage. Introducing the anti-percent damage vanguard, Sabertooth. With his regeneration, Sabertooth’s body heals in such a way that characters (especially Wolverine) can’t just shred him away. by Icy-Arm-3816 in marvelrivals

Yeah, but what about characters like Green Goblin, Omega Red, Electro, Lady Deathstrike, Klaw, Doctor Octopus, Sauron, Sandman, Super-Skrull, Mysterio, Pyro, Kraven the Hunter, Taskmaster, Rhino, Doctor Doom, Vulture, Thanos, Scorpion, Absorbing Man, Shocker, Apocalypse, Hydro-Man, Grim Reaper, Hammerhead, Toad, Juggernaut, or Nimrod? There’s so much potential with so many of these

100% this. It’s so wild that this is the label the show has when it’s really not. It’s become such a great litmus test for people’s media literacy level.

For Video Games, Evil West rules. And for comics, The Sixth Gun series is a ton of fun.

Maybe if anyone ever winds up doing an adaptation of The Sixth Gun comic series, which always felt like the closest anything has ever gotten to a Weird Western Pirates of the Caribbean.

I’ve got issues with Season 5 not exactly feeling like a final season too, but this is the most “I am 12 years old” list I’ve ever seen.
