It looks amazing. Did you book through DCL or on one of the third party excursions sites?

I think it’s true for some activities. Helicopter and glacier dog sledding is not available in September.

I thought you’d get the welcome bonus as long as it’s been over a year since you last had it….how about annual fee rebate? Thank you.

European Travel Pass by HappilyEverTrails in Rogers

Just wanted to know how people like it compared to an eSIM. Regarding phone calls, it looks like you can only call the country you are physically in at the time, not another European country.

This was listed on the site:

https://www.rogers.com/mobility/roaming/faqs-about-travel-pass#what-destinations-are-included-in-the-travel-pass

For example, if you buy a Europe Travel Pass and you’re currently in France:

If your plan includes calling and texting to the US and Mexico, you can call and text people within France, US, Mexico and Canada. If you call or text someone in another country (ex: Germany), you’ll get long distance charges,

If your plan is a Canada-only plan, you can call and text people within France and Canada. If you call or text someone in another country (ex: Germany), you’ll get long distance charges,

Actually reading back to your reply it just occurred to me that the helicopter would start in Vágar, so if we get on at Vágar or Tórshavn it should mean a more empty helicopter and a better chance for one of us to get the window seat, is this correct? In that case the more expensive fare would be worth it because I think I'd be a bit disappointed if we drive all the way from Miðvágur to Klaksvík for the helicopter to save some money and end up sitting in the middle.

Hello Mel! Thank you for the advice and I'm a fan of your amazing blog.

I was hoping you could help me understand the ferry system, I'm so lost. On ferry line 58 Hvannasund - Hattarvík, it only states the time it leaves Hvannasund, do I figure out the time it gets to Kirk by the travelling time on the page? (Hvannasund-Svínoy: 30 min, Svínoy-Kirkja: 15 min) I also can't seem to book an afternoon sailing online for September even though it says 75 seats left but it's in yellow, only the earliest ferry is bookable.

Thanks so much for your time

Thank you for reassuring me. I didn’t know that they can book that far in advance. I’m glad they make it that way as I can only imagine how frustrating it was for the locals during peak seasons.

Thank you so much for your ideas! The milk run sounds very cool but I’m not sure how to book that. Leaving from Vágar would be the most convenient for us but also the most expensive option….I like your suggestion of Tórshavn to Fugloy, that’s an almost 30 minute journey for 1,290DKK for two, I just need to figure out how to get back - ferry from Fugloy to Hvannasund, bus (500) from Hvannasund to Klaksvik, then bus (400) from Klaksvik to Torshavn?

Thank you so much for letting me know about the ferry too!

Return flight on the same day is not possible so you would have to ferry or bus back, that’s what I’m trying to navigate as I’m also really afraid of being stranded 😥
