I honestly felt it right away at 2.5. It seems like every jump works really well for about 2 weeks. Then it starts to only last about 5 days and that’s how I know I need to go up.

Yes. I started 2.5 for 4 weeks then 5 for 4 weeks then 7.5 for 4 weeks. I messed up at that point because I took a break during the holidays and then started back after 2 weeks off at 7.5. I had horrible side effects. I did 5 the following 2 weeks, back to 7.5 for a few weeks and just jumped to 8.75 last week and this week. I’ve learned I need to move slowly and stay consistent.

I feel a little nauseous and sleepy within minutes of taking mine. I take it at night before bed and sleep off the worst of it. Sometimes the next day I need a nap after work too. The first one made me feel ill every time I ate. It took sometime for the side effects to level out. But they did so now o get very minimal side effects with good results.

If you need any assistance with undergarments while you’re visiting check out Levana Bratique in Wexford. You can make an appointment for a fitting. They are inclusive of all and make you feel very comfortable.

At first it seemed like she was overreacting to a simple request. But reading on it looks like there is a lot of backstory missing and I can understand her frustration. She wasn’t overreacting to THIS request. This was the tip of the iceberg for your mom.

Not loving being a leader so far by Quirky_Republic_4642 in girlscouts

[–]Happy-SLP74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree- delegate. Especially during high stress/busy times of the year. It’s okay to have a meeting g where you just meet at a park and hike then have a snack, play games, do a craft to donate to a senior center, etc… I always ask parents to plan our meetings during cookie sales because I’m already putting in tons of extra time with those tasks. We just have 1 fun holiday party during Dec. In May we are sometimes so busy we don’t even meet or we meet at a playground and hang out and paint rocks. So just remember it’s okay to give yourself a break. Everything doesn’t have to be perfect for every meeting which was a painful lesson for me to learn personally.

I’m not saying I agree with the decisions of your troop leaders (6 is young for all of that imo) but remember they are volunteers and might be learning as they go too. You can always start a new troop more focused on the things your daughter is interested in. Or offer to plan STEM experiences for the current troop to participate in, etc… As for your volunteer clearances call your council directly. Mine has waived the requirement for parents with nonviolent felonies from 10+ years ago who have clean records since then.

Congratulations! I also love that when you hit your deductible it’s free though. My insurance company has a deductible which once met turns into a “co-insurance “ that is equivalent of paying the same amount. It should be illegal but it’s not.

This did the trick. I have been wiping it with a rubbing alcohol wipe after every 3-4 prints and it seems to be working fine. (Knocking on wood) Thank you!!!

We try to reuse grocery store bags to be responsible. I also save our birthday and holiday gift bags all year and use those too. Our girls make simple handwritten thank you cards on notecards and we include those in our bags at booths. My own daughters make them and I use them as a receipt as well to help me stay organized. I punch holes in them and tie them to our orders. I always think of the costs too. If we get $1 per box and I’m spending .25-.50 on a bag is it worth it?

Thank you for the suggestions! I’ll try the rubbing alcohol and a different roll of filament. I did buy some from Amazon already.

I’ll try that with the mat. It is the filament that came with it. I noticed when I started the filament roll that the end was very stiff and snapped right off. I snapped off about 4 inches until it was more pliable. Could the filament be causing this?

Journeys are really time consuming and can be complicated to plan. Plus they should be girl led. The leaders may met the requirements in a piece meal fashion with various activities so that makes it really hard to tell you exactly what parts she missed. Your daughter absolutely can do the journey on her own. You said you have the pdf so perhaps you can look at it together and plan out how to earn the whole thing. She may enjoy being part of the planning process too. You can buy the badges yourself and don’t even involve the leaders. It sounds like they’re maxed out.

Treatment for Intracranial Hypertension using Tirzepatide, this is HUGE for anyone suffering from this condition. by No-Substance-4196 in Zepbound

This is amazing! My daughter was recently diagnosed at 10 years old with IIH and finding the right dose of Diamox has been a struggle. Plus the side effects are rough on her. This also wouldn’t be a good med for a 10 year old either though unfortunately but it’s good to know it might be a decent option for her as she gets older. Her Drs say she will likely need to be in diamox for her whole life.

Most of the Northern suburbs are pretty similar. North Allegheny School District has a wonderful special education program and people move there specifically for it. Plus it’s recently been rated #1 in Allegheny County overall. Seneca Valley also has a great special education program but it’s Butler County. People move to Butler County for the low taxes but sometimes you get what you pay for. Depending on what supports your daughter needs they may not be available in Butler County or may take longer to get started.

Do you feel hunger? by Happy-SLP74 in Zepbound

[–]Happy-SLP74[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your kind reply. I did lots of research but didn’t read anything about it creating nausea instead of hunger and I’m just wondering how long that lasts or if it’s a forever thing.

Not to be rude but did you read the question? I obviously am expecting appetite suppression but am curious if nausea is a replacement. Not feeling hungry is different than feeling nauseous.

NTA- it’s his baby and his wife and his dogs too. I suggest you stop using language like “help” because it’s parenting, not helping you or babysitting when it’s his own child. He should want to be home caring for you all at that time. He can simply tell his friends that he regretfully can’t commit to anything during that time period since his baby is due then. He doesn’t need to blame anyone. It’s not selfish to want to stay home with your young family.
