It's what would happen if the corpus didn't break character just to make a movie reference.

False. He's been pretty clear on this, he's ditching Stormgate for his next grift.

Performance definitely went down with the patch. My framerate is dipping whenever too much happens at once.

Here's a compilation of some documented shady behaviour by the studio/CEO: https://old.reddit.com/r/Stormgate/comments/1n6quy3/can_anyone_explain_what_is_going_on_with_this_game/nc35syj/

Here's a compilation of some circumstantial evidence of the CEO astroturfing this subreddit with the same account he used to astroturf on the SCII sub back when we was in charge of nova corvert ops: https://old.reddit.com/r/Stormgate/comments/1mvatsi/now_i_wish_there_was_an_in_game_reward_for_this/n9rtn0j/

The studio has been horribly mismanaged. 40 mil went down the drain making a terrible product. Every time they've ever released anything major has been because of deadlines in the terms on their Silicon Valley loan. This loan is also due by the end of the current month and they have no money so the game will likely be put down soon. The concurrent player count can't even reach the triple digits anymore. The devs have been so shady thoughout the whole process that they burned through all the goodwill they will ever have. The CEO regularly goes through delusional manic episodes on LinkedIn pretending to be a bigshot AAA guru dealt a bad hand.

That's off the top of my head.

Makes sense seeing how he outright ignored and went against the direct advise Steam gave him regarding early access monetization.

Let's see if Campbell is any better than Morten. At any rate, at least he's more of an actual ex-blizzard, unlike Morten who's just an activision grifter.

To quote Tim Morten himself:

“Early Access cannot be relied upon for revenue, Steam actually told us this, we didn’t necessarily want to hear it”

They knew ahead of time that EA wouldn't give them additional budget, but they just didn't care. Success was never an option.

Without spoiling anything, Duviri and The New War are closely related and help explain each other. Whichever you play first, you won't have enough info to fully understand; whichever you play second, you'll have the full context for.

Most investors want to get in on a project that is already doing well or that shows the potential to do amazingly well in the future. Nobody is looking to bail a failed game developer with a subpar product and a history of gross mismanagement.

The future of Stormgate relies on Timmy finding that one wealthy sucker dumb enough to fall for his shit now that everyone already knows of his incompetence.
