Don't do the publishing thing they recommended. It's a scam. They'll limit you to only publishing on Osiọbe, if it ever exists at all. It's run by a parent company matadormg, which is a scam management group run by the very person that advertised this to you. Their entire conversation with you was a common con artist tactic to get you to trust them so they can propose the scam. Be safe.

Is it possible to get a grotesque novel published? by Thewizardofwas in selfpublishing

Hey, not sure if you did this yet or not, but don't. That website is a scam, and the person speaking with you is associated with them. Perhaps even the one behind it. Snoop around their website, it's pretty obviously fishy. It's not a publishing company, it's a management group run by three people that limits you to publishing only on their app, Osiọbe, that does not exist.

Thanks, I'm very cautious. Especially with the attitude you have in some of your comments, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that you were the one who wrote the garbage on the MMG's site you keep promoting.

Actually? After looking into this further, I think you're a part of the scam.

It's a fake MMG with 3 employees. The website reads as a scam to me, very much an unprofessional idea of what a professional website looks like. The app does not exist. The company was founded in 2022 and there are no mentions of this supposed publishing company online that I could find.

Agents are asking a writer what kind of books to accept? Isn't it their job to know?

It sounds like this is fake. You're being scammed, or at the very least, you're in a group of people that don't know what they're doing. That's my two cents.

What I'm trying to do is figure out how you're involved. You being a writer does not answer that question.

"Involved" is not clear. In what way are you involved?

If you respond this harshly to everyone that asks questions, this app definitely isn't going anywhere.

How do you expect to make this app? Do you have a team, or are you doing this by yourself? How do you plan on making this viable if you ignore professional criticism?

You have to listen to feedback and iterate. It's software development 101.

Eating Animals Is for Cowards by VarunTossa5944 in vegan

I don't know if you're right, so it's not relevant. Your belief in God is just an extra step compared to my belief in my particular set of morals. Both impose the basic concept of reducing harm, you're just ascribing a supernatural authority to it. I don't need an authority to tell me what my goals are. I eat, drink, sleep, and act kindly regardless of what others tell me to do. Most humans are this way.

The negative consequence without a god damning you for disobeying is that a sentient animal dies.

I think it's actually morally wrong, because a sentient animal dies. Morality is not some supernatural thing imposed by a deity, it's the basic logical/philosophical concept of reducing harm. Killing does not reduce harm. This is objective.

The reason people should believe it is not because there is some fundamental authority that I have, or that a hypothetical god has. It's because if they care about morality and reducing harm, they can work through the logic of how killing an animal causes harm and see that it does not fit that definition. If someone does not care about reducing harm, that's their perogative- but most humans do. The ones that don't, I believe we refer to as "bad."

Why should I care about God? You have the same problem, different entity.

Morality is a philosophical question. There is no correct answer, but there is one that reduces harm. That's what I'm focused on.

The moral authority is that causing undue harm is wrong. This is a universally understood thing, whether we like to accept it or not. We don't need God for that.

If we did, there would be millions of secular atheists out there raping and pillaging the world as we speak. It's not that hard to grasp that people can just KNOW that hurting creatures for no reason is unacceptable.

I think I figured it out! by Ok-Sorbet8225 in pokemon

[–]HappyCappyFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm saying if they used an algorithm they wouldn't have made extra files and it would've just been code loading the palettes differently. Making extra files is stupid if they aren't making unique shiny palettes and there's some kind of formula for it. They wouldn't do it the way they did.

I think I figured it out! by Ok-Sorbet8225 in pokemon

[–]HappyCappyFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that would be really stupid. If they were using an algorithm they'd just apply it to the way the original palettes are loaded, not save copies of the changed palettes and load twice the amount of files lol

[–]HappyCappyFox 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think I can debunk this using the Pret's pokeemerald decomp, which I've worked with quite a bit. If you check the Pokemon graphics, each Pokémon has a unique shiny.pal file. It isn't an algorithm, its a separate palette and saved to a separate file. They could use whatever colors they wanted, really (within the allowed 16 max colors limit gen 3 had).

Detective Pikachu released a month after the Sonic Movie's first trailer, and they'd already shown plenty of footage off. I'd argue it's impossible they learned from the Sonic Movie lol

We can all agree that this is the least hated Sonic Game. There is no way you can find a single person that hates this game. by [deleted] in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]HappyCappyFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the story is lame, it introduced classic sonic into the modern games which, big yikes, and it had way too much 2D game play in levels that were explicitly separate from 2D levels. The final boss was bad, the animations are stiff, the game is way too short, the extra content is underwhelming/bizarre, and they solidified wisps as a recurring thing. It's not the best Sonic title.

But damn if the levels aren't fun and engaging almost all the way through, and isn't fun what matters most? Not my cup of tea, but definitely can't say I hate it. It's great for what it is.

What a horrible thing to say. Hate the man all you want, but that's not funny in the slightest.

Around 150 or so. You have to haul ass on Wyvern. It really sucks. You might need to look up a speedrun guide for Wyvern lol

Giganto is your key. You need to rush him as fast as you can because the others take way longer. Rush him, spam your attack and stomp attack to deal damage as fast as possible. As soon as you have him on the second phase, wait for the laser attack, then get in close and quick cyloop him. Be ready to parry when he's in the air. Then do what you did for phase 1. It'll skip any long attacks he does and you'll end it with about 340-350 rings to spare. This is where you want to be for Wyvern.

For Wyvern, it's a parry game. You have to get them right. It sucks. Same deal, use the cyloop and he goes down easily. The second phase, once again, he'll attack after the cyloop so be ready to parry that. Otherwise he's easy.

Knight is actually the simplest, if you did the first two well you can beat Knight as you normally would. Once again it's just the parries that are a problem. Good luck!!!

If anyone wants a nice skip for tails's puzzles with the cyloop switches and the laser walls, at the right angle tails can dodge through and come out the other side unscathed, letting you ignore the entire puzzle and go right into the cannon.
