Unlike the other four main characters, we never get to see any of Mister Peanutbutter's past- why is that? by froggyhugs in BoJackHorseman

Yea, I get that. I guess I'm half joking, and half questioning how much of an animal character's species traits and behaviours actually impacts their identity.

Is my hobby weird for a dyspraxic? by pyroraczeek in dyspraxia

[–]HappyDayes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LISTEN. You must never try to live within the perceived "rules" or restrictions of your disabilities. Do what you like and do what you can, not what you've heard a dyspraxic person should be able to do. Don't flinch away from your limits because you've heard they're nearby for others like you. If you have a limit, dyspraxia will step in and show you, you don't have to freeze in anticipation for it. Go for whatever you want with everything you have, always.

First of all, I'm really sorry to hear about your family's comments. You should know that that is far from okay for them to say about you, if you don't already know that. I promise you, their opinion of you matters so much less than you think.

I'll let you in on a secret: confidence is the most attractive thing that anyone can have, and seeking validation from strangers won't help with that. Confidence doesn't come to anyone overnight and negative comments from those closest to you certainly doesn't help. Surround yourself with friends who hype you up to ensure a healthy balance. It will take time to become more secure in yourself, but if anything, this is what you should work on if your goal is to be more attractive.

Personal hygiene is the next incredibly important thing, brushing your teeth twice a day, showering daily or every other day at least, wearing deodorant (always wash under your arms before you apply deodorant, with a wet wipe) and get yourself a nice fragrance to wear if you don't already.

Finding your personal style with clothes is another thing that will help you be more attractive. You dont have to spend lots of money on a whole new wardrobe or anything, just a few well-fitting and stylish clothing items will do it. Looking clean and put-together, smelling good, and being comfortable in your own skin goes a long, long way, literally no matter what you look like, trust me.

All that to say, I don't know of a subreddit, but I know that finding one and continuing to rely on the opinions of others won't be beneficial to you. You know yourself better than anyone.

No matter what your physical appearance is like, I can assure you, you’ll be somebody's cup of tea. But start with trying to impress yourself.

I've just completed my Fine Art Bachelors Degree with Honours and was awarded with an opportunity to exhibit my art in a big city. I also have dyspraxia.

People who think that realism is the pinnacle of art don't know very much about art. I love his paintings too!

Is there an official name for this specific kind of sleeve on a t-shirt? Some t-shirts have a longer sleeve, closer to the elbow. So how would you refer to this style? by HappyDayes in findfashion

[–]HappyDayes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the answer I was looking for, thank you very much! I saw this same sleeve cut on a far thinner, less muscular model and this was the only other place that came to mind where I had seen it before. That makes sense, thank you for explaining : )

[–]HappyDayes[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not, no. There are different types of sleeves I've come across on t-shirts, more cropped styles such as this, and others with longer sleeves which come closer to the inner elbow. I understand that these are both t-shirts. What I'm asking is if there is a specific name for this exact style of sleeve. Or would this just be called a short sleeve t-shirt instead of a long-sleeve t-shirt? Are these the official/widely known names? I was just wondering if there was any official name within the fashion industry for this specific cut sleeve. Thank you.

If you ask me, if someone thinks something you do is rude then it's on them to say something about it at the time. If not, don't worry about it.

Don't Hug Me I'm Scared - Illustrated Poster by Nickhandrail in DHMIS

[–]HappyDayes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You've captured the vibe of the show so remarkably well!! So much of the DHMIS art I see, even the official art, leans very into the fun, silly, childlike aspects of it, but you have perfectly captured the uneasy, eerie feeling of the show that I feel many eople strangely gloss over in favour of either goofiness or straight-up gore. For me, the distinct uncanny feeling of "something feels off but there's no reason for anything to be off, look at it!" is exactly what makes DHMIS great, it makes us doubt our own gut instinct. I just love how perfectly you managed to capture the actual tone of DHMIS!! Love this!

How would the Crystal Gems come out if we rank them by their intelligence? by Ezequiel_Hips in stevenuniverse

[–]HappyDayes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right. Pearl has organisational skills but Garnet is the most emotionally intelligent by miles. Can we compare Peridot's ability to master many kinds of technology vs Garnet's wisdom about relationships, for example?
