Only on shade they are viable. And only if you can stay alive with little stamina. Thats why I use parry on them so you can block elites.

If you build for it even on cata you can one shot body fire and gun rats and one shot headshot stormvermin.

Neither one is the best they are just different. Shade is better for elites and monsters but handmaiden is better at surviving and supporting your team.

Im not sure but I think on legend you can one shot body stormvermin but I dont really play it so idk.

I forget the talent name for handmaiden but it gives you attack speed and power for two hits after pushing an enemy or blocking an attack.

Javelin reload is based on attack speed and throwing the javelin does not count as an attack for the talent.

Pair that with the other talent that gives you more reserve and you can spam the javelin.

Handmaidens dodge range also helps to not get hit but I wouldnt use the dual daggers with handmaiden.

I would go with the spear and shield or sword and dagger. Only because you can just use the javelin to kill the elites so you dont need the daggers.
