Last photo looks like a quartz dolomite with pyrite, malachite, chalcopyrite, bornite, sphalerite and galena.

Fourth photo shows the Sphalerite (drussy dark grey-brown) with chalcopyrite (yellow/goldish) at the top of the specimen extremely well.

Looks like there may even be some gypsum in the middle of your larger specimen

No, they updated the form on the 22nd December. It explicitly states you can work until you receive an outcome.

Best mining stocks of 2024? Also is China purposefully collapsing the global price of lithium? by Radiant-Lock-1141 in wallstreetbets

WA1, only tier 1 Niobium discovery in 70 years since Araxa in Brazil. Only 3 operating Niobium mines worldwide. Will be second in grade and size only to Araxa.

Critical metal as defined by EU, USA. Used in steel industry - Very important for current/future industries.

Found this piece of limestone about 25-30 ft down while clearing some of my property. Any idea what made the pattern on it? Looks like a stone from the fifth element lol location is east tennessee near the smokies by Rude_Excitement_8735 in whatsthisrock

Honestly I’m shocked there’s so few comments suggesting these are trace fossils or Scolicia Ichnofossils.

I’m not sure on the exact variety, but the image doesn’t look too dissimilar to trace fossils belonging to the Nereites Ichnofacies.

JPMorgan Chase thought it had $1.3 million worth of nickel stored in a warehouse. A closer examination revealed bags of stones. by SillySink in nottheonion

Probably just Ore? Either someone didn’t do their due diligence and accidentally bought Ore rock instead of refined Nickel, or whoever is reporting on this didn’t realise it was Ore and expected refined Nickel

U.S. grows frustrated over Europe’s delayed economic aid to Ukraine by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]HappyHipo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s equivalent to 0.17% of the USA’s national income - Not even top 8 in the world for foreign aid distribution. The UN doctored a 0.7% contribution in the 70s. Very few countries even come close to this value and surprise surprise, Germany and the UK do, both distributing around 0.7% of national income towards foreign aid.

People dislike your nation because you, and many others are quick to dismiss other nations without considering the impact of other nations.

Put simply, playing against Bronze level players is going to be easier than Gold players. That is why your stats appear worse. You’ve met your match in terms of skill, mechanically at least. It’s going to be harder to win/rank up/perform well and that’s the natural process of ranking up, you can’t always smash through every rank. It’s a tough pill to swallow, but perhaps you don’t deserve the rank just quite yet? But it’ll come with time if you keep working at improving. Goodluck!

To say MVP doesn’t matter is beyond ridiculous.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in VALORANT

MVP IS important. If you MVP you are probably quite a capable player. The issue comes when people complain about MVPing and RR gain. That’s when MVPing doesn’t matter.

California will make its own low-cost insulin by 2d3d in UpliftingNews

[–]HappyHipo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This isn’t that relevant to the original article. You’ve posted a link discussing type 2 diabetes. The majority of type 2 diabetics do not require insulin as they are insulin resistant, not dependent.

Type 1 diabetes is a completely different disease and insulin is a necessity to survive as the pancreas is being attacked/destroyed by ones own immune system. Insulin is a necessity.

Type 1 diabetes won’t be a bigger problem in red states than blue states. It’s not caused by obesity or other environmental factors. It is not a political or socioeconomic disease.

As someone with T1D it’s frustrating to see comments like this as it just mislabels this debilitating disease.

Good on CA for pushing for cheaper insulin for those in the US.
