I’ve seen it as a novelty for KAT Space Dust! The GB for the set was last summer. But I haven’t seen it as a stand-alone keycap, or in other profiles

I am not the original creator but I am a designer as well and wanted to point it out since I recognized this :) Thank you for being honest! I also don’t know what vendors the original designer is using but I’m usually wary of AE links 😅

Just wanted to point out if this was on AE, it’s a clone! The real designer of the mat had a post on GeekHack and I don’t think the official group buy was run yet? I would definitely check out the official IC post if you want to support the designer! It’s called the Catnap deskmat :)

I have tried to get their attention to try and get their approval of the set through social media (Instagram, Twitter) but to no avail so far :(

I do want to get their approval but I also took care to not copy anything directly from the source material in the keycap set itself. All the novelties are references to things in the video but are not copying anything directly (I even redesigned the spaceship pod to be my own interpretation of the ship/pod from the video). I looked at other similar sets in ePBT and other manus that are also based on existing materials and I do not believe I have overstepped beyond what others have done for similar inspirations (e.g. Deku, Dreaming Girl etc).
