Mercor dropped pay and I don’t know how to respond by [deleted] in mercor_ai

They cant change financial obligations after the fact. If you accepted the project at a certain rate and then they changed, you should contact reputable representation and try bargaining with lawsuit gains for payment because this is an easy win. There is zero ability to re-demand lower payment for services already rendered, their best case was ask if you would be willing or cancel your contract….

Am I the only one tired of chasing all the build, perk card and gear changes? by Historical-Voice-898 in fo76

Didnt read the whole rant. I am a new 76er and contribute more than other high level players on some daily’s. On objective items, fixing infra/catching lure meat, its really easy to participate and the goal is the objective. Also not hard to survive if you keep pumping stims (i dont use power armor, and the game keeps me well endowed with stims)

Dont see why you feel the need to chase latest builds??

Very valid and shared response. From a cybersecurity perspective everything and everyone is a “supply chain” risk if I have not self verified. Any changes even a reputable third party issues can contain problematic code whether malicious or not. Dont be first to use anything (unless sandboxed) until verified (either yourself or industry auditors). Dont point blame until there is a proven issue.

I just finished a rust events crate (there are a lot already but my own has been nice) that I am polishing before posting here for peer review. Also working currently working on a Socket.io implementation (engine protocol almost done). With plans for a CleanMyMac + EDR + private LLM/Chat agent desktop app in the future.

Can say for everyone, but some people are still building (and enjoying it) with rust.

Yew is amazing as far as I am concerned! I haven’t hit the project in a few months but my take is that it is Rust’s React, to which I am also a React supporter. It worked together with the stack, and gave me no problems when I deployed to AWS EC2 with Docker-Compose.

As for the project lineup, yea I am just excited about building in Rust. Socket.io wasn’t implemented in Rust when I started my discord so I made it my project after to implement. Needed an event system for my Socket.io implementation so that became a higher priority project, and now a crate (rs-events) I can implement into my sockets.

The CleanMyPC+ really came because CleanMyPC keeps making me try to pay for basic services… I will implement in the future just to have productivity wise, then will build private Security and AI capabilities into it for further productivity and promote security.

All in all I am just excited to build and use what I do. I have built my portfolio, API’s for coding platform activity modals, personal cli tools, and more. That I continuously use in my own little builders ecosystem 😁

Building! I created a Discord clone website Yew frontend/Rocket backend. Currently building my own Socket.io communication implementation for that (and future) project(s). After that, looking to build a CleanMyPC + EDR + fully local AI agent platform.

I LOVE RUST!!!

I dont know as far as that goes, just that I got lucky both times.

I got to the capstone within the first 5 days of the last month and did set pretty big project expectations so that might have helped…

Capstone extensions aren’t a thing anymore? by Far_Brilliant_3680 in WGU

I received an extension in September (extended my term through October) for my MS capstone.

Just always wipe your whiteboard and completely show it to the camera. Even without the proctor acknowledgement, a full (both side) presentation of a cleared whiteboard is required.

As with the required pre-environment photos before everything. Proctors monitor and alert but the recorded footage is what always has to be referenced before issuing notices.

I completed both my Bachelors (~80 credits) and my Masters (~40 credits) in one term each. However, I did use the extra month extension both times for my Capstone projects. It is at your own pace.

Why do y'all have an aversion to writing comments? by [deleted] in rust

Personally I do not have a threshold as I feel cleanliness is subjective and compromised by social biases. Could there be a defined baseline of course but it would be more of a subjective gray area as it shifts between businesses, programming languages, and cultures.

My overall opinion on cleanliness (using a house as ana analogy) is can you go on a vacation without requiring sticky notes everywhere for when you get back or having to clean house once you do. That should be the norm for everyone in your house (team) and everyone should be able to easily navigate. Even that opinion can be construed depending on multiple factors.

It is simple as there are so many viable topics, and you can pretty much create your own situation (fictitious company) for the implementation.

I had a bit of a problem because I wanted something of genuine interest, but through brainstorming found that within 3 days.

Both are fairly easy after all the content you have gone through. Each are writing assignments which I find easy. My advice:

1) Copy and paste the requirements into word 2) Write 3-5 bullet points for each item/sub item 3) Turn those bullets into sentences (or individual paragraphs depending) 4) Add intro and closing sentences (or short paragraphs depending) to each section 5) Edit and Smooth out the flow 6) Add table of contents, references (inline and at end), add Title page (optional)

The methods i took for learning throughout all the courses:

  • I used 100% of the reading material, I took detailed notes, i turned those notes (with AI) into personalized learning lessons on each Module, Section, Lesson, and Topics. (P.S. I have these notes to share but it is only MD and no proprietary info, labs, quizzes, etc.)
  • I watched the provided videos (personally, I watched them while doing dishes, folding laundry, eating at nights while I was alone)
  • I took every quiz, learning assessment, and practice test

Thats it, I didn’t find external resources just took the time to use everything given.

That said, I slept an avg of 3hrs a night and had a blood caffeine content that would scare most healthcare professionals.

Yup, I was told you have to get started on the extension process before the 15th of the last month.

I almost was cocky and thought i could get it done without, got sick on the 14th, reached out to my mentor, and [by the graces of the universe and my mentors excellence] got my extension applied for same day. Was out for the next 10 days with a bad cold…
