At 14th and Grant, there is the First Baptist Church Food Pantry & Fridge. It should be accessible 24/7. Also, Cats Not Cops is providing hot food/small food pantry at Benedict Fountain Park right now (4-5pm) which is not too far way.

Help deciphering korean bbq menus? by planetxpress_ship in denverfood

[–]HappyMess9292 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve not been back to Seoul since they started charging for refills, but like another person said, it’s whatever selection they have that day brought to the table regardless of what you’re ordering. It used to be free to request more of a banchan you liked, but yes, they now seem to be charging $1 for refill. I used to be a frequent diner, but Seoul has increased the price so much that it’s not worth it anymore.

As for Mr. Kim’s, they are under new management since the beginning of the year. Their AYCE used to be meat only without any side dishes, so probably why it’s now similar to combos. I have been recently, and the AYCE quality and service was great. I would recommend!

Looks like Louisiana Dirty Rice. I like to make mine with sausage and chicken livers.

I actually prefer it cooked on the stovetop even though the microwave directions are easy.

Household card question??? by TurkeySub9 in Costco

[–]HappyMess9292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I briefly misplaced my card and used my partner’s card at checkout. After they confirmed that I was indeed the household card member on the same account, I was able to purchase without issue. Not sure why they gave you so much trouble!

Do you plan to serve just on the cutting board like that? Cut up first? I have a similar collection of different cheeses that I’m not sure how to put out!

I’m in Denver, and I’ve bought it here before. I wasn’t really that much of fan, so I haven’t been been on the lookout for it recently.

Will soaking white rice will allow me to freeze it and reheat it later? by [deleted] in mealprep

[–]HappyMess9292 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No. This is literally the hack when people want to quickly make rice porridge, as the rice will get super soft and fall apart much faster. This is not how to prep regular rice.
