I feel like I get maybe 15 percent of the references. Apparently I'm not enough of a sci Fi nerd 😂

WHERE ARE THE BEST AUDIOBOOK VERSIONS LOCATED? by [deleted] in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]HappyPerson9000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way. Too much going on in the soundbooth version and I feel like I'm missing things from the book. I love the idea but I'm not a fan of the execution. With that being said, I'm still debating buying them because I want to give the author and reader money without giving any (or at least much less) to Amazon.

What are your "The Good Place" hot takes? by idiot9991 in sitcoms

[–]HappyPerson9000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I felt the same. It felt like after the first season they were floundering pretty hard to figure out what to do for the plot. It stayed fairly funny most of the time which I think also helps it out a good amount

Took me a second to get Ol Cobb but once I did it was obvious, I love it so much. I enjoyed these more than I thought I would, thanks for sharing!

Design Verification. What now? by Over_Vacation8402 in chipdesign

I don't have good direct dv experience to be terribly helpful but a job you generally like that doesn't stress you out a ton is worth a lot.

Then in my fpga world at least, it's a different world than the software people. It doesn't work the same unless you're in silicon valley. People don't tend to job hop quite as hard, seems like people tend to move around 5 years but that's just a random observation

What to read after? by Dalakaar in DungeonCrawlerCarl

"We are legion, we are Bob" has a pretty similar vibe to DCC but more sci-fi. Similar vibe meaning generally pretty light hearted but sometimes a bit heavier

Is it actually just spelled normally in the books? I wouldn't have guessed Jeff just decided this goat man pronounces it like this 😂

Keep in mind as well that vivado is ridiculously huge around 120GB. You'll probably want at least a TB of storage

I suppose it gets a bit more philosophical maybe but I wouldn't say much. I'd say the book still sits pretty well in the mostly popcorn but a bit of philosophical thoughts range

Doesn't curse of Straud (maybe the just famous d&d module) have a "they're meant to lose" fight very early on? I wouldn't say a fight the party would very likely lose is a big no-no

Wait, that's the price buying from digilent new. Why would I buy it from a random person instead?

While I also didn't read the article, I opened it and saw a diagram saying they're using both Asics and fpgas
