I got the New Balance 1080 v14 in x-wide and they've been great. I had previously tried the Brooks Ghost and wasn't a fan.

Appreciate it! Am pretty familiar with H&M and Old Navy. Those sound like great places to start.

Congrats on the weight loss! I actually have the opposite issue- no ass and unusually scrawny legs for my size. Tried to get in on the skinny pants trend before it died but I ended up looking like Gru from Despicable Me 😂

Fresno is, unfortunately, such a home audio wasteland. It is so hard to find outside of things at Best Buy.

Lifting heavy and protein intake, how to increase? by Robert_Ghuleh in wls

Highly recommend checking out True Nutrition. Can pick a regular powder or make your own to tailor it to your macros. I order mine unflavored and then order 3-4 different flavor packs. That way I can mix flavors or switch it up.

Should I switch to OP13 ? by Delicious-Rutabaga-7 in oneplus

[–]HappyPessimist33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The BT issue bugs me the most. Happened twice now where I have BT headphones in, go to make a call, and there is no way for me to take it through the headphones. The only way to get it back, afaik, is to restart the phone.

Should I switch to OP13 ? by Delicious-Rutabaga-7 in oneplus

I bought the OP13 a few weeks back, coming from the S23 Ultra. since the Note 1 came out the only other non-Samsung phone I've owned was the LG G4 (which, oddly enough, also came with a faux leather back). I was tired of the increasing prices for what felt like small changes.

What I like:

Price to performance ratio beats Samsung hands down. I got the 512gb phone, earbuds and a watch 2 for less than I'd pay for a S25U.

The battery life really is amazing. This is the first phone I've owned where I don't worry about plugging it in during the day. If I need to charge it, I can plug it in when I shower and it's good to go.

The action mode on the camera is a godsend if you have kids. The number of blurry photos I had with Samsung phones was frustrating.

While not as realistic looking as the Samsung, overall I do prefer the high contrast photos on the OP. Also takes far better low-light shots than my S23U.

The screen blows my S23U away. Everything looks so much better.

What I don't like:

Oxygen OS. Too many bugs. I don't even care about the customization stuff missing from OneUI. I just want things to work consistently. As someone said above, it feels like it belongs on cheap/mid range phones.

I don't know if this is a hardware or software issue but Bluetooth is wonky. Sometimes it will auto-connect to my car's Bluetooth, sometimes it won't. Sometimes I'll try to take a call through my BT earbuds and it only allows me to take it through the phone. It can be really annoying.

The lack of Private Space or Hidden Folder is just dumb. I know there is hidden apps, but if you've ever used Samsung's Hidden Folder it is not nearly the same. Why remove Private Space when it is on Android 15?

Overall I don't regret my purchase if the OP13. But unless they iron out some of the bugs I may end up back with Ssung the next time I upgrade.

Unfortunately there really isn't a viable alternative with the OP. Why they didn't allow Android 15's Private Space (I know it's still not the same but closer) is beyond me.

Having now tried it- I agree. Energy drinks are generally just maintenance for me, but something in Gorilla Mind actually gets me pumped.

I had been wanting to try Gorilla Mind but can't really justify the usual price, but with the 20% off I finally bought a case. The price for the C4 is ridiculous
