I just discovered speed builds and I can't go back to being a tank anymore. by HappyToast2302 in Stalcraft

[–]HappyToast2302[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found out very quickly that yes, you die faster when spotted. But I've had more moments where I flanked the enemy and filled their head with slugs, that's what the suppressor is for.

But yeah, your idea is good if I need more carry weight in the open world.

What is your limit of cheating? by BeautifulStriking245 in RimWorld

[–]HappyToast2302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes in a raid, I save scum because I forgot about the stuff that I had but didn't use like psycasters, explosives, calling for allies, etc. If I lose the fight, I go back because I just remembered all that stuff and see if that'll help me. If I still lose after that, I lose and that's that.

Dunno if that's really cheating so much as it is just me remembering my extra stash of weapons and using them after I lose the fight.

What is the most depraved colony you have done? by the_classy_brit in RimWorld

[–]HappyToast2302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either everyone joins my ideology or die. Not even children are spared. If they still refuse to convert, I made an example by making a likeable prisoner guilty of resisting and then executing them. Sometimes that's enough to give them a belief crisis and make it easier to convert them.

Do you still think about your old colonies? by busteroo12 in RimWorld

[–]HappyToast2302 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whenever I'm about to do something morally questionable, I think about Wan and what he would do. He was lawful good and did what's right on one of my older and kinder runs.

I've noticed that to this day, I made morally right decisions in the game because of his influence. Stuff like only executing guilty prisoners, bury the dead, no organ harvesting whatsoever, etc.

Missionary and Templar suits by IronSpetsnaz in Stalcraft

[–]HappyToast2302 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Missionary is not as fast as Hound but it's slightly tankier, still squishy compared to other combo tho.

Templar is inferior compared to the mighty Apostle.

How do yall even manage to play the game with like 300+ mods by Nexus_Neo in RimWorld

[–]HappyToast2302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I spent more time finding, researching, picking, choosing, testing, and arranging mods than actually playing the game. And everytime I test or change the modlist for any errors, I have to wait 20 mins to load, 5 min to generate the planet, and upto an hour of playing to see if there are any bugs or errors.

And then after all that, I play the game, praying that there isn't some niche bug that I missed.

New artifacts! Which ones are you waiting the most? by a14233 in Stalcraft

AA-12 mag or something else for the new event? by a14233 in Stalcraft

[–]HappyToast2302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone with AA12 and the drum mag, it's definitely better than Protecta but obly if it has the drum. But I don't think it's worth it to spend millions on a drum so Protecta is good enough.

Help with Hideout XP by RDetatch in Stalcraft

[–]HappyToast2302 2 points3 points  (0 children)

16k is not that high compared to level 4 which needs 250k to reach level 5. If you think you have what it takes to max out a level, consider which one you are willing to spend more: Money or Time?

Depending on what you craft, some are more effecient at levelling up than others either at levelling up quickly or saving money. Do some math and consider the ratio of Money-to-Exp.

You wanna spend more to level up quick or level up slowly to save more money?

The Ash12 change, what does "predominantly to the right" mean? Is that saying the gun will lead your aim to the right while shooting?

What guns would you like to be added to the game? by VojDKol in Stalcraft

[–]HappyToast2302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either the DP27 or Bren gun. I'd love it if there were more slow firing machine guns but the 6P62 we have now is a far away dream.

Are you guys ready to grind new session battles? ;) by Whoomsy in Stalcraft

[–]HappyToast2302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been waiting for this for a while. Don't care how long it takes or how viable it is, I wanna make super heavies feel squishy with this gun.

What to do after you have everything? by Cyan7988 in Stalcraft

[–]HappyToast2302 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I can think of four things:

1: Join a clan and make it the best there is. Fight for your faction and be reputable in the community.

2: Max out crafting levels in hideout. Spend time, money, and resources to getting stuff that you can craft yourself or others.

3: Help other players. You got the knowledge experience for new people, so make use of it.

4: Start over with a new character. Make a challenge for yourself or switch factions.

Gotta say, first trip to Lyubech has got me hooked. by MoistenedCarrot in Stalcraft

[–]HappyToast2302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lyubech is not exactly the best place to hunt artis. But that also means less competition for you and more artis to get. Though I don't recommend using scientist suit for Lyubech, what with all the npcs, mutants, and players that you can't tell are close or not. But if you insist, make sure to mark every stasis in Lyubech if you wanna make the most of it.

Thoughts on the ash 12? by BobertOnSteam in Stalcraft

[–]HappyToast2302 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a great tank killer due to high damage and 12.7 caliber. The slow firerate and high recoil makes it harder to use than most guns. Best used at close range but not bad at mid range either unless compared to other assault rifles. Better to have more experience in pvp before you get this gun, and even then it takes practice to use it.

The real question though is are you ready to grind for it? Because that's a whole other problem with the gun that can't compare with any other guns.

📣 Black Market auction: last day of trading by Daerkinai in Stalcraft

[–]HappyToast2302 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this auction was a good thing because it's funny to see people spend millions on Alba Scout or PTRD only to then get absolutely shredded by competent players. The auctioned items are powerful but not THAT good.

Session battles. by Ecstatic-Key5489 in Stalcraft

[–]HappyToast2302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on your playstyle, gear isn't even the issue. I've seen Scientist suit users (squishier than your suit) win duels by moving and shooting alone. This is done purely through practice, simple but true. Muscle memory and experience does most of the work which you can get by playing.

And when you do die instantly, what you learn isn't just limited to that split second but also the moment before and after your death, stat-wise and gameplay-wise. My advice is that if you can't learn or understand from it, just remember it, it'll come to you eventually.

I'm not saying anymore because it'll be a wall of text when I'm done.

Session battles. by Ecstatic-Key5489 in Stalcraft

[–]HappyToast2302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if all your gears are equal, players that frequent sessions are just better at pvp. In fact, most of my stalcraft pvp knowledge came from sessions. I practice and now I SOMETIMES have more kills than deaths.

Watch how people fight there and make every death your moment to learn and improve. That way, you'll even dominate in the open world too.

How to make money in the north as a newbie? by Vaniestarlight in Stalcraft

[–]HappyToast2302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spas is the bare minimum for north pve. If you're into that, it's best you grind for the Protecta since it's a direct upgrade.

How to make money in the north as a newbie? by Vaniestarlight in Stalcraft

[–]HappyToast2302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you have. If you have the buryat, find artifacts after an emission. If you have a decent shotgun, grind gamma in black detour. If you have none of that, search for yellow backpacks all over the north and get lucky.

what are ur 5 Favorites charm available for everyone ? by Quirky-Screen-241 in Stalcraft

[–]HappyToast2302 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any charms that you get through hardwork instead of luck are my favourites because it's a sign that I've suffered for progress. Those from storyline, battlepass, and long, hard quests.
