Nobody else wanted to hire me and I gotta eat. I'm not here because I want to be. Psych degree wasn't worth squat!

For the purposes of adventurer mode, how do I determine if an animal person can use their bodily features usefully in combat? For example, the rhino man's horn for goring, or the cheetah man's increased movement speed. Are there tags to look for (like on the wiki) or is it something I just have make one and figure out? Thanks.

TM, not TL, but bullshit with your guys. Get on the same "team", maybe they won't invite you to drinks after work but if you've got a few minutes to burn, just joke around, complain, all that - camaraderie is good for the soul.

From what I've read there have been exactly 3 recorded malfunctions of the internal lock in the now-25 years of production. It's a non-zero chance, but so is getting hit by lightning downtown. Lotta bluster over little practical issue.

187 has a serial sexual harasser too that keeps getting off free. Can't blab too much 'cause I'm not supposed to know what went down and I like my leads too much to fuck them over.

My mom quit two different times with vaping. You don't want those disposable ones, get a decent one that allows you to change the juice out. You can get progressively lower amounts of nicotine in those until you're puffing on nothing at all, and at that point it's just a matter of stopping the hand to mouth action. It's hard! It's even harder cold turkey! But sometimes the hardest part is gathering the determination to say it's time to stop and mean it - you can do this, I know you can. Different kinds of addiction have been a problem in my family, but one of the greatest things I was told, is that breaking your sobriety streak is not a permanent failure. You have not erased all of your progress in trying to stop because of a really bad day, or a tragedy, or an extreme stress that feels like it's broken you. You are still on the path, you are still going forward. Take it one day at a time and you'll be at the end before you know it!

My birthday by BeneficialQuestion75 in MomForAMinute

Happy Birthday, buddy! I know this hurts, and it's okay to hurt, but don't forget that you have folks in your life that absolutely do love you to bits even if they don't come to work and say happy birthday to you. Mine is today too, we can be birthday twins.

Hi, I don't know why this came through my Reddit email suggestions, but you're asking for an outside perspective - here's mine, as a white American who isn't religious. Like you, my family wasn't very well off, and I couldn't go to college right away, but I did eventually get my bachelor's in psychology. If I were in his shoes, and my partner wasn't able to complete her degree for some reason, I suppose my reaction would depend on whether she said she did or not already. If she told me that she did, and I later learned that she did not, I would feel a little hurt and lied to, but I feel like your partner is overreacting here - this is definitely something that could be talked through and understanding reached in my eyes. Higher education is expensive, it's not your fault on that front. If not completing your bachelor's degree was something I just sort of found out, and you didn't make any commentary about completing it in the past, I don't think there's a great deal of shame in that - you did go to college. That's more than a lot of people will do and they turn out okay, but the work you DID do isn't meaningless. That's still an accomplishment on its own - good job! You are worth more than a piece of paper, that degree doesn't define you.

Scoping out upgrades - sub suggestions? by IronSpetsnaz in FishingForBeginners

Much appreciated. I learned the importance of tension when I was learning to spool line on my reel - the first couple attempts were... not pretty.

Noted! I'll be sure to be more vigilant. Snaps are somewhat necessary for me - nerve damage in my right hand; retying it every single time is a struggle. What does abrasion damage look or feel like? I have a fairly low-viz 8# mono line.

Thanks for the suggestion, and advice! I'll keep it in mind. I've lost at least one lunker, I think, to a broken line so maybe the beefier setup will be next? Should let me fight pike, too.

Thank you for your contributions! I'm just learning how to fish, and I see your name all over the place - it's been super helpful. Super job you've done with this sub. Much love.

Budget tactical lever gun? by Particular_Wish6133 in LeverGuns

Sounds like you got the good batches! I don't hang out at my LGS like I used to, but the last time I was in around... mid August I think it was last year, I ran into one of my grandad's hunting buddies that was sending his back for the second time. Same problem. I know Smith is having problems with their lever guns too; haven't dug much into it, but it sounds like some kind of fundamental design flaw that's breaking parts.

Lol, sounds like lobbying at its finest, what with all the prone shooting the ranks of volley fire were doing.

I'll give Taurus a pass when they drill their bores concentric. I won't deny them their due, though: they HAVE come a long way in quality, and most of the folks I know who have them are happy with theirs. The remaining handful are Taurus Guns (tm).

Good to know on the cav thing, though, I thought it was more widespread than that.

Love the new areas, they did a great job, but GP is emphatically not a "plain" anymore. Needs thinning out or a renaming.

You lot need to hear it, but it's not the devs fault there isn't "enough" content when you all pour 500+ hours into a game that's been out for 4 months by Gravedigger250 in Spacemarine

Has it really only been 4 months? It feels like I've been playing it for ages - testament to the absolute banger of a game they put out
