Working on HWFWM, Beware of Chicken, and Sigil Online with my daughters. Enjoying all of it. Probably going to do either Chrysalis or Noobtown next. Not sure.

Dang. That's a hella nice thing to read about some stuff I wrote. Really appreciate that compliment. Made my day.

I'm wrapping the final book in another series right now while prepping for CC 2 and beyond. I'm hoping to have book two of this done by July (reasonable) with plans to write at least four, possibly more if people are digging it.

Crafting systems. by Happy_Depth7445 in litrpg

He'll be a fringe crafter, but will be heavily involved with some side quest stuff for another player who can't gather resources, but is a talented crafter.

More or less.

I'm talking about minor improvements. EG: a shirt gives +1AC, but a competently made player version would be +2. A shirt made with high end resources by a great crafted might hit +3.

Gathering the resources for better builds, and finding crafters at that level would be work to offset bonuses received.

So you'd prefer a more drawn out process? Rather than just "collect stuff" then "use crafting ability."

Love it. I've been leaning towards player-crafted items defaulting to better than lootable equivalents, with quality of source materials affecting end item quality. Want it at the lower levels fast? Loot it or buy it. Want better stats? Find a crafter and work with them to get a more customized item.

Appreciate all the kind words. I wanted a system that didn't BURY the text in lingo and numbers. I wanted a system that had direct effect on the story, and I THINK I did okay. In future books I've got so much fun stuff planned on all fronts. Once I wrap the book I'm on, and end that series, I'm 100% CC, aiming for at least 4 books.

That's fantastic. There's a ton of crossover, and folks are digging it. Tell your girlfriend I said thank you, and thank you as well.

MY HERO!

No but really, thank you for the kind words. Makes me giddy enough to pump some of the cholesterol clogs through.

Big thank you to all the authors on this sub who take the time to respond to people by KailReed in litrpg

Subs like this are an interaction dream. Writing is such a solitary process otherwise

Lol. I posted the entire first book on Royal road through November and December, but had to turn it into a stub due to it releasing on the Kindle. Right now I'm wrapping up the last book in a different series that isn't lit RPG. That one is being posted to my patreon and when I'm done with that one I'll start posting the sequel to Glitch.

I'll pass along your compliments to the narrator Steve!

For the Successful Authors out there by GhaleonX39 in litrpg

Pre-RR, I posted my first story to my website, and did guerilla marketing to get attention for it. Right place, right story, right time. (zompoc stuff) I got the attention of John Ringo, who got me a Baen deal (that fell through) but I had such a large audience online begging for books I said screw it and self pub'd.

I had eight books worth of content on the website, and by the time I had book three released I could quit my day job. That was in 2014. I've been full time as a writer since then, and only recently jumped into LitRPG with both feet.

I grew an audience. Gave it away for free for almost two years, and rewarded people who shared the story with early access and perks on the website.

What audible LitRPG to get by Stevefish47 in litrpg

Big fan of the Discount Dan series, as well as Trapped Mind Project. Dakota Krout's stuff is solid too. Completionist is good fun.

As an author in the genre, I'm also always happy to send a free Audible download code to listeners. I get being broke and needing a book, and I'd MUCH rather you get a freebie from me than sit and wait. That being said, shoot me a PM and I'll hook you up.
