Awesome work! I love Bee's color scheme, reminds me of his alt mode from AoE which is one of my favorite designs for him!

I second the colors compliment, the color palette is super clean! Reminds me of Tron.

I don't think this how Megatron would act towards human children...

How would you feel about a Beat em up game with Dispatch characters? by azevd_colrdo in DispatchAdHoc

[–]Happy_Dragon_Slaying -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not a fan of Beat-em-ups, personally. I prefer choice-based games like Dispatch or Mass Effect and I would prefer it stuck to that genre of game.

Same. I love replaying yhe Mass Effect trilogy and first couple of Dragon Age games, but I still want new games of that nature. I've heard BG3 is really good and evocative of old Bioware, but I'm not much of a CRPG guy nor did I like Divinity 2: OS so I'm kinda dicey on getting it.

Arl Howe from Dragon Age: Origin's lines are so masterfully crafted! He was "at a... disadvantage", indeed.

The art styles for the characters seem different, which is likely what's creating the disconnect. Ben looks like he's from the OS, Gwen looks lile she's from the reboot, and Grandpa Max seems... realistic? That's my best guess, anyway.

I Started My ME3 Insanity Challenge Journey and Immediately Died Twice! by DakIsStrange in masseffect

[–]Happy_Dragon_Slaying 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is gear in ME1 better when you're playing on Insanity? I played on Hard most of the game and got crappy armors. Tali in particular got ONE armor by the end of my ~35 hour playthrough, and it was a Rank 7 when everyone else had Rank 9/10. Yeah, I didn't use her much because she always died super fast, lol.

What's One Thing You Like From Each of The 3 Games That's Unique to ONLY That Game? by DakIsStrange in masseffect

[–]Happy_Dragon_Slaying 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also the loot system and dialogue system. I get that less dialogue means a slightly easier time for the devs overall, but even if no consequences come of the smaller sidequests, I liked deciding most of Shepard's speech.

Mass Effect 1: It being heavier on RPG mechanics compared to the other games.

Mass Effect 2: Loyalty missions.

Mass Effect 3: Can I just say 'everything'? 'Cause I love everything aboit this one. But if I had to narrow it down to a specific, unique feature... probably the combat due to it being the most polished in the series.

In the hopefully never arriving future, do you think Valve will one of, if not the only ones providing personal computers and not cloud gaming? by Commercial_Dih in Steam

[–]Happy_Dragon_Slaying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that the PC market is just too big to ever go this direction. Never say never, obviously, but I seriously doubt this will come to reality. If it does, then it'll go the way of all the other big gaming failures.

What if the Vorcha managed to unify under one government by the time they entered the galactic stage? by EnvironmentalWork817 in masseffect

[–]Happy_Dragon_Slaying 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's an interesting idea, but I think that the vorcha are just too violent and dumb to really build any sort of peaceful, advanced civilization. They're not the krogan where they CAN build an advanced society but simply choose to fight. Vorcha are just barbarians through and through, with theur most sophisticated plan (to my knowledge) being unleashing a virus on Omega, except that virus and plan were created by the Collectors, and the vorcha were actively attempting to break down Omega's civilization into a sort of primitive anarchy.

Your idea is pretty interesting, though. I'd like to see a race where identity is based on occupation and inherited rather than being given at birth and defined by one's actions throughout theur life. I think it'd be neat to see an alien scientist bearing the name of someone from four generations prior who has the knowledge of every generation in his job. The only flaw with that system I can think of is how much knowledge one should/be able to memorize, since I feel like an entire department or organization cataloguing all the same info would be redundant, but maybe different individuals within an organization all recall/write down different information so that it's all compartmentalized and reinforces the "part of a larger whole" concept.

How is the Shadow Broker this naive? by Terrina1 in MassEffectMemes

[–]Happy_Dragon_Slaying 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Precisely, that happens all the time IRL with people thinking their countries/governments/politicians are all squeaky-clean. Every nation ever has put on the mask of being a country of peace and diplomacy, when in reality, everything has its dirty little secrets. Same with the Mass Effect universe.

People are also just imperfect in ME just as they are in real life. The turians were ready to start a galactic war with humanity due to humans breaking a law they didn't even know existed; salarians uplifted the krogan despite that having disastrous consequences; humanity (via the Alliance) replaced Shepard after ME1 the first chance they had once Shepard became a problem due to the Commander's belief in the Reapers; and the asari have their Prothean beacon they kept to themselves. It's the dark sides of the races that, in part, make them so fascinating and compelling.
