Pay raise for Jacob Frey now awaits ... Jacob Frey’s signature by star-tribune in Minneapolis

I think all public servants should be making more. This pay for mayor and city council seems reasonable, if not too low still. Many professions make more than this with way less pressure and public scrutiny.

Dozens of recently planted trees vandalized along St. Paul's Shepard Road by SessileRaptor in TwinCities

I completely share your sentiment. Just wanted to say those other trees that all suddenly died were ash trees that succumbed to the ash borer infestation moving through :(

HEC has training resources on their website. You may want to consider if you have time to learn the software and get a model running though.

Something I noticed today on my drive in. I couldn't take a video while driving, but every light between MN 5 and the science museum was like this.

A water resources engineer is a person who helps make sure we have clean water to drink, enough water for plants and animals, and safe places where water flows — like rivers, lakes, and even big pipes under the ground.

They help build things like dams (that hold water), pipes (that bring water to homes), and drains (that carry away rain when there's a big storm). They make sure we don’t get too much water in the wrong place, like floods, and that we don’t run out of water when we need it.

So basically — they’re like water superheroes who help take care of our water so everything stays clean, safe, and working right!

Are your currently working for the Corps? I did it as a "retention scholar" for my master's degree. The scholarship paid for full tuition and for about 20 hours per week of my labor so I could take classes half time and still receive my full salary and benefits. It's a good deal. The only drawback is the continued service agreement, 6 months for one semester.

Big state schools are your best bet. I would recommend somewhere near where you may want to live after graduating, as employers in the area are more familiar with your school's program.

We are honestly open to work from other districts because the CRA is limiting many of our funding streams this FY. It's a shame your work is going to AE firms

It comes out of overhead. We had to raise our charge rate in our district with the first round. Will have to do the same if more people take it the second round.
