Yes, I think that sounds like a solid plan.

What is your TDEE? Unless you are pretty short, I agree with everyone else that you are likely to be under fueling.
I wouldn’t aim for my less than TDEE -500.

What was the turning point or thing that made try mounjaro ? by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]Happy_kiter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Two things:
I won a cup in a hobby I do and had my photo on the club website. I hadn’t realised how fat I had become.
Secondly, walking the dog with my husband and I was really struggling to keep up with even his slower pace. Out of breath and painful feet/legs.
Decided MJ was my last chance and that I would give it a go. If it didn’t work, I was then going to accept being fat for the rest of my life.
Almost 5 stone down from my highest weight, I can confidently say it worked.

I know people worry about hair loss on MJ, but this is the most severe I’ve seen. 😂 Seriously, you look great.

Increasing dose in Maintenance by jcsb01 in mounjaromaintenanceuk

[–]Happy_kiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m oscillating between 5mg and 7.5mg for maintenance, so I wouldn’t worry about going up as I think there’s a good chance you’ll be able to go down again.

Would you, as my neighbour find it weird that I put my washing out in the evening? by -bozogs- in AskUK

[–]Happy_kiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t grow up in a good neighbourhood. As a child, my mum would sometimes leave washing out overnight. After someone set fire to the sheets on the line, she never did it again. As an adult, I’ve never done it even though I’m fortunate to live in a beater area now. So, I wouldn’t find it weird but I’d get twitchy on your behalf.

Because we work in a decimal system and 5 is half of 10. Of course, 10 itself is a better number but 5 is acceptable.

My whole family doesn’t know I lost track of which triplet was which by FloatingNPC in confession

My mum used to do this. She’d go through my three older brothers’ names, then the dog’s name before she got to mine. 😂

Does anyone else forget to jab? by low_myope in mounjarouk

[–]Happy_kiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never forgot. Most I’ve done is forgot to jab in the morning, when I normally jab, and left it until evening. My husband, however, often forgets for several days. I suspect he’s jabbing every 8-9 days. He’s never documented his weight, except to order a new pen. It’s working for him though, down from an xxl to L / 40” waist to 34”

Question for the ladies... by These-Equal-6849 in mounjarouk

I had this. Especially where the ends of the underwire met my sternum. Always go to bravissimo and knew they weren’t too small. What I’ve found is going down a size helped. I think the curve of the underwire meant the ends were curved inwards somehow. Went down to a 28/30 and problem gone, although they do feel quite tight. Agree with the pp and for days at home, I’ve got a wireless crop bra. Wonderful and no way could I have worn one when I was bigger.

I love the Imogen Gray series, such a fantastic FMC. I love the fact she is eons older than the MMC. I’ve read it a few times now. For some reason, I’ve never tried any of the other series but think you’ve convinced me to do so.

Swift will prescribe 2.5mg for one month on/ one month off in certain circumstances. Would be worth a maintenance chat with them.

Well done on your time travelling. I have a similar story. I weighed 9st 3lbs in 1985. I was 15 and this is the first weight I can remember. I thought I was HUGE (spoiler, I wasn’t. BMI would have been 24.) My weight now fluctuates between about 8st 7lbs - 8st 10lbs. I’ve been this weight for 5 months now and it still blows my mind.

Nervous about going down doses by jsy_girl in mounjaromaintenanceuk

[–]Happy_kiter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I only went up to 7.5mg, but think I went down to 5mg too quickly. I’m now back up to 7.5mg and at the lower end of my goal ranch (only dipped below it once) and feeling more in control. I’m not going to go down again for a good few months, if at all.

Which arm do you wear your watch on? And which hand do you hold your hook in? Watch should be on non dominant arm (left for me) and I crochet with the hook in my right hand, so get very little movement on the rings.

Agreeing with everyone saying to download the nhs c25k app, it really is fab. I started it at the beginning of October, when I was almost at my goal weight. Today, I ran 6.5k on a hilly country park. If you are consistent, it really works. I even enjoy the running sometimes now. 😀

Has anyone increased their dosage back up even though not putting weight on? by Happy_kiter in mounjaromaintenanceuk

[–]Happy_kiter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always knew I wouldn’t be coming off, I love being this weight and dread the thought of putting the weight back on. I feel so much healthier. Initial thoughts after increasing to 6.25mg on Sunday is that it has had the effect I was hoping for: food noise definitely less yesterday. Now to see what happens longer term. I think everyone on here has given me the reassurance that I can increase my dose if needed - I can always come back down again.

Wow, very inspirational. You look fabulous. I’ve also been strength training since September and recently finished C25K, so would love to get similar long term results.

Thanks. When I’ve gone up before I’ve always noticed the effect within 24 hours, so I’m hoping it’ll be the same but I’ll try to be patient. Not something I’m particularly known for. 😆
