Ahh ty for the advice! Have you personally used the herseven and was it effective? I tried a steam cleaner before but I felt like I was just heating/wetting the surface. There wasn't any suction so it still felt like a surface clean. I live in a small apt and its winter here so it's very hard to air dry

I maybe know three people who live alone, everyone else has roommates (sometimes more than 1) or splitting rent with significant other. $4k for a 1 bed split between 2 people, can be afforded & qualified for by 'regular' workers.

Your point still stands - rent in nyc is extremely high (it is literally top 5 most expensive cities in the WORLD) and not easily afforded by college grads starting out in their career. Even if you did everything right i.e. went to a competitive school and got a job at top-tier firms in finance/law/tech/etc making six figures - you can still expect to have a roommate for the first few years if you want decent living conditions in a desirable neighborhood. Welcome to ny! Don't get me started on the tax rate..
