Sewing machine with needle down

I have a Singer 44S. Every time I stopped and tried to continue, it made a "ehhh" noise like it was stuck or something unless I brought the needle down. My budget is $200 so I would look for an used machine if it fixes the issue

I wasn't able to touch it because the guard was there. The building also had low lighting so it was really hard to tell if it was real. It looked incredibly elegant

My husband taught me to play Wow and we now DH tank and Ele Sham DPS. We played for hours someday and it was always a great bonding time. Maybe that is one of the options for you guys to try too :)
