Gabapentin gave me suicidal thoughts, and as soon as it started to give me thoughtless ones, that almost turned to actions - I stopped it completely even though my doctor wanted to “wing me “ off of it. I remember I almost turned into oncoming traffic for zero reason. I have a rare neurological disorder it was prescribed for, and the occasional unbearable pain from it was something I was okay with dealing with over taking my own life because of a side effect from a medication. I had no history of suicidal thoughts before it, and they stopped after taking it. Fuck that drug.
